  1. This year they are deep plus they have a heck of a leader. Next year will be their best chance I think. But I can't even imagine what Devon and jordyn are going to be like their Sr year. It is going to be fun to watch!
  2. Who said that? I said that starting this year they will go undefeated in district for 5 straight years and have at least one state championship. Their best shot is next year. But i believe they could win it this year or any year coming up within the 5 year period. That is just my opinion. So far I am right
  3. Hj has more than 3 players man. That is not right to say. They are a solid team that will get 2nd in district and make it 2-3 rounds deep in the playoffs I'm sure. They have sound fundamental players. They have a VERY good player in Parquet and a big man that impressed me. But yes, Silsbee should not be happy with that win lol
  4. Silsbee Might be getting some also lol
  5. Can someone post JD stats so I can compare please? Crazy thing about McCain from Silsbee is this was his 1st year playing HS football. He hasn't played since his 8th grade season I believe.
  6. PA Memorial +9 (-8) Humble (-13) Kingwood Park Beaumont Central (-25) Beaumont Ozen (-30) Lumberton +23 (-12) PN-G (-16) Diboll (-22) Lufkin Hudson Cleveland (-6) Shepherd +9 Coldspring (-11) (-18) Bridge City (-9) LC-M (-26) Silsbee (-20) Central Heights Garrison (-11) East Chambers (-24) Warren +24 (-42) Kountze San Augustine (-27) (-68) Big Sandy (-19) Evadale Leggett (-21) Beaumont Kelly (-5)
  7. Good point swamp, but you must remember that Silsbee's JV team has 3 kids that would start for most Varsity teams in the district right now. Plus, their 8th grade group has 2 kids that will contribute on varsity next season. And IF the 8th grader from Legacy was to come back home to Silsbee next season, it will be even scarier. HJ is always going to be competitive because of their coaches and their system, just like Nederland in my opinion. Silsbee just has an extreme depth that is not normal for 4a basketball. I stated a couple years ago that starting this season, Silsbee will be extremely strong for 5 years. Even after that, the Silsbee little dribblers program is producing some pretty impressive talent at all ages. Now, with all of that being said. HJ has a very talented 7th grade group this year. They are special and will be a solid solid group in HS. This game will always be big because of the true passion the kids and fans put into it!
  8. That 1st quarter was one of the best quarters I have ever seen. 2nd Q was great for Silsbee but the emotion and momentum ended at half. It was hard for Silsbee to get back in rhythm being up 18 at half.
  9. His skill set is crazy. He is a great kid and never shows any attitude. I hope he keeps up the aggressiveness! This team is something serious. Look at those individual scores! Highest scorer had 14! Love it
  10. Tre Grubbs looked really good tonight. He played a very aggressive game. I love how he is one of the best guards in the area but plays down low for Silsbee when needed. He rebounds the ball very well, plays phenomenal defense, shoots the ball well, handles the ball well... Also, I was very impressed with HJ's big man. Probably one of the best dunks I have seen in a while. Parquet is the real deal. He is very smooth and can really score the ball. I really feel like Silsbee has the ability to win it this year. They have to have killer instinct and stop starting the game off so slow. Take stuff more serious and keep working to get better.
  11. Only downfall of tonight is not having that killer instinct. Good win Silsbee, but we gotta learn to put teams like that away. Great job to the HJ coaching staff. Had them prepared and almost pulled it off. Hate to see parquet hurt. He is a great kid. Can't wait until the next game.

  13. Lets go boys! Show everyone why y'all earned that #1 ranking. Prove them all wrong and please prove me right lol
  14. I am saying that I coached a kid from almost every school in this area.. So I am rooting for all of SETX as well
  15. Lol I'm pulling for all of SETX teams. I've "coached" a kid from almost every school in this area lol
  16. 4a Silsbee JV with three varsity players beat 5A Central a couple years back. And 4a Silsbee with half of their team beat 5a central this year.
  17. I grew up here and it's no more than anywhere else. We have called Silsbee that since I was in 4th grade. Silsbee is known as smoke town all over the place. Nothing more than a fun phrase and nickname we used growing up. It might have been created for a different reason(I'm sure) , but it does not mean anything severe.
  18. We scored somewhere up there against BC my Jr or Sr year
  19. I didn't say any jasper basketball players were involved. I said jasper football players and a ADULT was involved. Smh
  20. More than a scuffle with a player. Fans/football players jumped him after the game.
  21. D. McCain/Grubbs Silsbee Harris/Adams Silsbee Arnold/Stanford Kountze Boyd/Comeaux Ozen Atwood/Pearson Central those 2 are a good duo for sure but the best in the area? Nah
