  1. Yep, probably so, on their own without the coaches having to tell them anything.
  2. Tell them to call Coach Nelson at 409-... Nevermind, I wouldn't want my Jaguars to get embarrassed by a 3A school. But maybe it would be a good thing because some of these city kids don't take what it takes to be a winner serious enough for me. A good but whopping by some country boys might do the trick. Is WO-S looking too?
  3. Jaguars Davis running a QB keeper in from about 5 yards out with 9 seconds left on the clock to win what will probably be the last game between "Central" and Nederland 21-17.
  4. 22-6A Pasadena Pasadena Dobie Pasadena Memorial Pasadena Rayburn South Houston Baytown Sterling West Brook West Brook would go 7-0 in that district.
  5. That's not a complete list because there are many HC's that make less thatn 98K. Prime example, the 3 in Beaumont last I checked make a dismal 85K and there are many others in the area in that range or lower. Hopefully, if Beaumont goes to 2 high schools, the current AD will get those HC's at least the state average of 100K so that we will draw some better applicants the next time they come open.
  6. Final Bulldogs 29 Jaguars 55
  7. End of the 3rd... Bulldogs 10 Jaguars 38
  8. Halftime... Bulldogs 8 Jaguars 23
  9. End of the 1st... Bulldogs 6 Jaguars 8
  10. JV Bulldogs 29 Jaguars 38
  11. Freshman Bulldogs 16 Jaguars 21
  12. Beaumont Ozen Livingston Beaumont Central Vidor
  13. Attended the board meeting tonight, pretty much no new answers from Dr. Frossard and the board concerning Central. Short version is that they are waiting on the final answer from the insurance company before they make a final decision. UIL has given them sometime in January (nobody had the exact date) to turn in their decision. The next board meeting is scheduled for January 18th. Myself and a group of others are working together on different ideas of keeping Central, whether that be on the original Central campus or on Smith middle school campus. Last resort is a merger.
  14. Javelina, I'm curious to see a 6A district with West Brook and the Beaumont Merger, I'll just call it Ozen-Central for the moment...
  15. Hamshire-Fannett Hardin-Jefferson Liberty Silsbee West Orange-Stark I don't like the idea of a 5 team district when 4 team will make the playoffs. Guess the Longhorns will be the odd team out... Center Huntington Jasper Madisonville Shepherd Tarkington I was personally hoping that Jasper would have stayed South...
  16. Great post Warden!
  17. Ok, I know her as Coach LeBlanc. Well I was excited about my now 8th grade daughter playing in her program next year. But then came Harvey and all the drama concerning Central. If they do merge, the AD will have a tough decision on who to give it to between the 2. Doesn't LeBlanc have ties to PA? If so, that is the only thing that scares me about her is that if that position comes open over there, that she would bolt for it.
  18. Bridge City Huffman-Hargrove Little Cypress-Mauriceville Livingston Lumberton Splendora Lumberton's playoff drought is over...
  19. Before I state my opinion, who is Coach Tae?
  20. Like I just posted in another thread, money makes the world go around and is the driving force behind this decision. There is a school board meeting tomorrow night but we (a group of people trying to keep the schools separate) are not expecting that final answer until January 18th.
  21. No not yet. There is a school board meeting tomorrow night but we are not expecting a final answer at this one. Probably won't get that answer until January 18th. But we (a group of people trying to keep the schools separate) all know money is what makes the world go around and this decision is about money saving to the BOM. So that's why I say 2 high schools in Beaumont for 2018-2019...
  22. It seemed to me that Ozen did a lot of substituting, going further into their bench, especially in the 1st half while Central ran with mainly the same 6 or 7 girls. By the 2nd half you could see the Lady Jaguars tiring, along with the pressure from Ozen, in making a lot of turnovers. Also, Ozen has 2 girls that are solid and have some height which created a lot of rebounds and easy put back baskets. My first time seeing Ozen play this year. No excuses, also found out 2 starters for Central were suspended for the game last night. Going to be interesting next year when these 2 teams are 1. 1 starter for each school was a freshman and they both played pretty good, they'll be teammates next year.
