  1. Vidor, Nederland and Livingston.
  2. Jags band starts Monday and Jaguars football starts the following Monday. Can't wait...
  3. STiger85, if Barbers Hill is AVERAGE, Central can't be AVERAGE...
  4. Just curious, he can answer this or you can. If not for this rule, what school would his child be at? Also, to me, how do you ever get the other 2 schools to improve if you continue to allow the "smart kids" (not saying there are no smart kids at the other 2) to transfer? I have a sophomore and freshman at Central this year. My freshman just left Odom going through the Pegasus Academic program. I know it's middle school but he finished very high in his class, receiving several awards. He is at a high school Chemical engineering camp at this very moment at Lamar yet still will play football and run track. I feel like he will graduate from Central in the top 5% if not higher. My point is that there are kids that excel academically at all 3 schools, they should get stricter with the boundaries or have none at all...
  5. Well as for Central since 2006 2006: Beat Barbers Hill 31-28 in Bi-District; Lost to LaMarque 30-7 in Area; 8-4 overall, 6-1 in District 2007: No playoffs, 4-6 overall, 2-5 in District 2008: Beat North Forest 21-0 in Bi-District; Beat Lockhart 24-21 in Area; Beat Angleton 35-34 in Regionals; Lost to Friendswood 20-19 in Quarters; 9-4 overall, 5-2 in District 2009: Beat Goose Creek Memorial 7-0 in Bi-District; Beat Huntsville 28-24 in Area; Lost to Friendswood 44-22 in Regionals; 9-4 overall, 5-2 in District 2010: Beat Galena Park 44-16 in Bi-District; Lost to Humble 27-21 in Area; 8-4 overall, 6-1 in District 2011: No playoffs; 2-8 overall, 1-6 in District 2012: No playoffs; 3-7 overall, 3-4 in District 2013: Lost to Summer Creek 24-9 in Bi-District; 6-5 overall, 5-2 in District 2014: Lost to CE King 55-23 in Bi-District; 7-4 overall, 6-1 in District 2015: Lost to CE King 32-31 in Bi-District; 5-6 overall, 5-2 in District Using your criteria, I would have to say GOOD in the 1st half of the 10 year span but DECENT since...
  6. If a parent can just bring a kid to whatever school they want to, what's the point of having school zones? The point of having school zones is if you live in a particular boundary, you go to this particular school...correct me if I'm wrong.
  7. Big blow loosing Mayfield but I didn't have them winning the district anyway...
  8. Yep, for football and basketball...
  9. It just depends on the zone boundaries. West Brook will take a hit in my opinion. I don't know if it will be enough for them to drop. I think Ozen will be the greatest benefactor. If divided properly, Beaumont should have 3 5A high schools. Could you imagine that district... Beaumont Central Beaumont Ozen Beaumont West Brook Lumberton Nederland Port Arthur Memorial Port Neches-Groves Vidor
  10. Little do you know but rezoning the city and enforcing it would help out Central and Ozen and take away from West Brook. I'm ready for it, long overdue...
  11. Lol...I thought it was just me...I never even read his comments, I just skip over them.
  12. And 9 starters return from that defense for the Jaguars...
  13. Ha, ha...I wasn't taking a shot at you Soulja...
  14. I've been staying off this thread because this entire subject is ridiculous...but there is always one. Why am I surprised? I shouldn't be in this day and age...
  15. Interesting Buddy on your prediction. I could see Vidor getting in and PN-G not. 34 days till kick-off at the Butch!!! Is it too early to start our prediction thread with West Brook??? Lol...
  16. And with that 16-5 district record, there are still some Jag faithful that don't support our coach. I'm not settling for mediocrity but like someone said about Faircloth, it could be worse and we have had worse in the past. The non-district and playoff record isn't pretty but not too many around here in the area are...
  17. Yea, me too. My daughter reminds me that some of mine is starting to go missing...Lol.
  18. West Brooks all black...
  19. Big Dog, those were my predictions... DC has 1. Nederland 2. Memorial 3. PN-G 4. Centrap No team in DC's top 40...
  20. For those of you that have your copy of Dave Campbell's 2016 Texas Football, turn to page 273 and look in the very top left hand corner. If that comes true, this is my prediction... 1T. Beaumont Central...9 starters return on defense. A bunch of juniors and sophomores played last year along with the district champs in JV translate to good things this year. In my opinion, with Whaley being gone, it will benefit the offense in opening it up and not being so predictable. The one district loss comes on the road against the Indians. (7-1) 1T. Port Arthur Memorial...after playing much bigger schools like North Shore, Deer Park, etc., dropping down is a big confidence booster for the Titans. Because of this, I could see them just as prolific as the team that went to the state quarterfinals a couple of years ago. Along with Coach Harrison trying to keep his job, the Titans will have no mercy on the smaller schools of the district. They do stumble cor their only district loss against the Jaguars. (7-1) 3. Nederland...Nederland is Nederland but the streak will end. He may not win district this year but they will be in the playoffs again. Bulldogs still own Indians but loose to Titans and Jaguars. (6-2) 4. Port Neches-Groves...the Indians will continue to reload. Indians will beat Jaguars but loose to Titans and Bulldogs. (6-2) 5. Lumberton...Babin and the Raiders will come up a little short of making the playoffs this go around. (4-4) 6. Vidor...the style of offense will keep them in many games, the defense will let them out. (3-5) 7. Beaumont Ozen...gone is the all district QB, all everything RB and with the coaches getting a late, equates to a long season. Lack of depth is a concern. (2-6) 8. Baytown Lee...no longer the cellar dwellers. (1-7) 9. Livingston...the new cellar dwellers. (0-8)
  21. Prepballin should be banned for posting that video!!!
  22. I do feel like you PA fans are sandbagging when it comes to wins...
  23. Well said Soulja... As a Jaguar faithful, season ticket holder, graduate and kids in the program, I don't agree with the higher ups on this one. I enjoy the trips over to the Reservation. 2 of the last 3 games with the Indians have went to OT and despite being a 2 TD loss, was pretty close for the most part last year. I enjoy our home games at the Butch but enjoy all the road games just as much. Taking away home field for any school is not what Friday nights are about. And this would cost BISD more money, money we don't have. I personally don't think this is going anywhere. See you all at the Reservation October 21st, which will decide who gets the #1 seed and who gets the #2 seed in D2...
