  1. Congratulations fellows....more to come for others on that Jaguar team...
  2. Half of the 30 kids was from WO-S. I guess that's what it takes to be a state champion...
  3. A few changes from what I posted earlier... 1. Beaumont Central...with Foreman going into his 4th year, 9 starters returning on defense and only 2 on offense but 1 of them is at the most important position, QB... 2. Port Arthur Memorial 3. Nederland 4. Port Neches-Groves 5. Lumberton 6. Vidor 7. Beaumont Ozen 8. Baytown Lee 9. Livingston
  4. Nope, you heard wrong...
  5. Man there is nothing going on in the 21-5A thread so it is common for them to come over here...
  6. Reading is fundamental...
  7. Pokeyournose, I was referring to the lose to Ozen that you all had, not George Ranch. Yes Central lost to PAM but got it together when it counted in district. The losses to PA-M and Summer Creek last year, in my opinion, let us know the wrong kid was playing QB the 1st 3 games and that the 2 back sets was more productive than the 1 back sets. At least our coaching staff realized that and made the changes. Do you think Harrison will do that this year? Not. His son will be the week 1 starter which should be fine as long as he plays well. The difference is will the Titan staff have the b*lls to put pride to the side and play the better QB according to you? Probably not till after week 4...
  8. Good point about them loosing to a 5A school last year...
  9. Did they make the playoffs this past year?
  10. This is simple...Port Arthur Memorial. The Titans were 3-7 overall and 2-4 in district and didn't make the playoffs. Dropping from 6A to 5A numbers SHOULD have them as the team to beat in my opinion in 22-5A. But the games hAve to be played...
  11. Once again, where are you coaching at calling the plays??? PA-M and Central will be fine. It wouldn't surprise me if they finished 1 and 2...
  12. Agreed, just giving him a hard time...
  13. Yep, but all 7 of my seeds are either wearing maroon and gray or will be when their time comes in the future...no blue and gold or blue and red color combinations allowed over here, Lol. Congratulations to the Panthers. 1 game at a time...
  14. No Soulja, you need to change that "C" by your screen name to an "O"...you are a Panther, at least for the next 3 years...
  15. There is always that guy...smh.
  16. Is this the kid that got playing time at QB last year late in the season? Congratulations!!!
  17. It's not a knock on Lumberton having them as Homecoming, it just happened that way. Didn't want to have homecoming too early in the season like against Katy Tompkins or Vidor or too late like against Livingston. Central only has 4 "home" games this year to choose from. The Raiders were Central's homecoming last year and pushed them to the end of the game before it was decided...
  18. I doubt Deer Park and Houston St. Pius are going to play each other...
  19. That must mean the coaches son is at QB...
  20. I agree on the Whaley part. Good kid and would love to have him back this year but the offense was too predictable. I think the other kids depended on him too much. The Jags started the year out playing mostly in a one back set. It wasn't until district I think they that they went to a 2 back set with the Foster kid and that's when he started having great games. Defenses couldn't just key on Whaley. Foster and Corbin will be the feature backs this year and they both are juniors. If any kind of passing attack develops, the Jaguars in my opinion could push for the district title.
  21. Here you go WOS-Grad... Finalized schedule: Beaumont Central Scrimmage @ Channelview Week 1 @ Beaumont West Brook Week 2 Katy Thompkins (Saturday) Week 3 Vidor (Saturday) Week 4 @ Port Arthur Memorial Week 5 Bye Week 6 @ Beaumont Ozen Week 7 @ Nederland Week 8 Lumberton (Homecoming) Week 9 @ Port Neches-Groves Week 10 Livingston Week 11 @ Baytown Lee
  22. Finalized schedule: Beaumont Central Scrimmage @ Channelview Week 1 @ Beaumont West Brook Week 2 Katy Thompkins (Saturday) Week 3 Vidor (Saturday) Week 4 @ Port Arthur Memorial Week 5 Bye Week 6 @ Beaumont Ozen Week 7 @ Nederland Week 8 Lumberton (Homecoming) Week 9 @ Port Neches-Groves Week 10 Livingston Week 11 @ Baytown Lee
  23. Just got word that the Beaumont Bowl will continue... August 26th Central vs West Brook...Bruins being the home team...
  24. Just got word that the Beaumont Bowl will continue... August 26th Central vs West Brook...Bruins being the home team...
  25. Here is my official way too early prediction...The district will end in a 3 way tie with PA-M, PN-G and Central. PA-M will beat PN-G. PN-G will beat Central. Central will beat PA-M. 1T. Beaumont Central...9 starters return on defense. A bunch of juniors and sophomores played last year along with the district champs in JV translate to good things this year. In my opinion, with Whaley being gone, it will benefit the offense in opening it up and not being so predictable. The one district loss comes on the road agains Indians... 1T. Port Arthur Memorial...after playing much bigger schools like North Shore, Deer Park, etc., dropping down is a big confidence booster for the Titans. Because of this, I could see them just as prolific as the team that went to the state quarterfinals a couple of years ago. Along with Coach Harrison trying to keep his job, the Titans will have no mercy on the smaller schools of the district. They do stumble cor their only district loss against the Jaguars. 1T. Port Neches-Groves...the Indians will continue to reload and Faircloth will COACH this team to a piece of the district title. Indians only district loss will come at the hands of the Titans. 4. Nederland...Nederland is Nederland. Neumann will find a way to get it done. He may not win district this year but they will be in the playoffs again. Bulldogs will loose to all 3 district front runners. 5. Lumberton...Babin and the Raiders will come up a little short of making the playoffs this go around. 6. Vidor...the style of offense will keep them in many games, the defense will let them out. 7. Beaumont Ozen...gone is the all district QB but they do have the best RB back in the district. He is not enough and with the lack of depth at other positions, he won't have numbers like last year. 8. Baytown Lee...no longer the cellar dwellers. 9. Livingston...the new cellar dwellars.
