LNVA salt water barrier ponds in Beaumont
Alpha Wolf replied to flyfisher's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I never fish in the ponds but I see people fishing there all the time. I don't know how often the city stocks the ponds but I do know of people catching bass from Rayburn and Toledo and depositing them in the ponds so there are at least some bass in the big one to the left. -
I would love to see him play with his brother at Lamar but he'll probably be utilized better if he goes to La-Monroe...

I guess your school don't get ran on because you know much more then us fans on this site, but know I'm just a fan waiting for football to start. This is a fan site, but if you didn't know, there is a website for coaches since I GUESS you make a living coaching.
6-2 would make 8 in the box. Walking a safety down in a 50 defense would give you 8 in the box. And a 4-2-5 is basically a nickel version of the 4-3 which teams run to stop passing spread teams. What's funny is how you make statements about teams and don't have a clue as to what you're talking about! And no I don't coach. It doesn't pay enough for me.
Yea after deciphering what he was trying to say, I think he meant 8 in the box because most teams already have at least 6...

Also, Ozen has the best RB in the district Rodney Randle Jr. I know first hand. IMO of course Lol
You need more than a running back to make it in this district. Ned Vidor and (if i'm not mistaken) PNG all return 4 out of 5 of there offensive lineman and Ned and Vidor have established running backs in Hopkins and Sage who have already had success in the varsity ranks. Ozen lost most of there oline and Randle hasn't done anything on the Varsity level. He may be good but not the best in the district. I can assure you of that.
I think Bigcam must be related to Randle. Like it was previously said, it takes more than just a good RB to win or even be competitive in this district. The best I see Ozen doing is 4th and Central finishing in 2nd because of a "TEAM" and not just a good "RB".

[Hidden Content] I'm liking what I see so far, except for the part where he said some of the old coaches are still there. I hope those coaches are buying into Coach Foremans plan.
I kinda agree with you on this.... my thing is will they work while away from coaches... if they do... it could be katy bar the door.... definitely have the talent but I refer you to the caption under my name...
Like you said, as long as they are working away from the coaches, they have the talent...this shouldn't even be close.

They have lost a lot when it comes to personnel but Coach Matthews will keep the Pirate ship afloat and headed in the right direction. I think they have one of the softer non-district schedules but will stumble against Cleer Creek. With the 5 district wins they would qualify for the 3rd playoff spot...
Wow, I didn't think my statement would get you'll going like it did this morning. I know the games still have to be played but I feel like there are 2 guarantees about 20-4A this year. 1. Nederland will make the playoffs 2. Lumberton will not make the playoffs. I say that to say I personally feel the other 6 teams, pending injuries, lucky breaks and the graduation of some players, all have a legitimate chance of making or missing the playoffs. As long as Coach Matthews is the Captain of the Pirate ship, I don't see Vidor being consistently at the bottom of this district, we have Lumberton for that...
Just showed a Lumberton player this here at work and he said they are going to prove everyone wrong this coming season. Gotta believe in my boys :)
Whatever motivation it takes utilize it... -

I only see PN-G winning 3 games this year total...Livingston, LC-M, and Lumberton. They just have a tough non-district schedule, a top heavy district in my opinion and probably are a year away from being serious threats for the district crown. PN-G faithful, don't turn your back on Faircloth... -

I only see West Brook winning 4 games this year total...Ozen, Chavez, Channelview and Baytown Sterling. They play in a tough district and unless they can beat either PAM or Deer Park, I don't see them making the playoffs. -

They just have a tough non-district schedule but with the 4 wins I give them, they would qualify for the 4th and final district playoff spot once again... And by the way, Ozen has the best website that I have seen among the area high schools... [Hidden Content]#! -

Coach Foreman Era At Central Begins
understand, just enjoying the post I just think Central has a group of kids that are good in all sports and just one or two play more than one sport , that group of kids at Central Gpa's are top also (so learning new things will not be the problem) I think its Central time everybody else in 21-4a just lost great groups, but that's not to say they want be good 21-4a is always great Football
???
