Sounds like that is what he was supposed to say. I bet if he was asked off the record, he'd say something else. This is his lively hood. Say if he goes 2-8 or 3-7 over the next 2 years, will he be around for the next realignment or will the Panther faithful run him off?

I wonder what Coach Suggs thinks about all this? He went from in my opinion a guaranteed winning season and possible deep playoff run with Tyler to a guaranteed 10 game season...

I only missed the Nederland game so I must have missed the low varsity numbers for Central. It only takes 11 on offense and 11 on defense plus special teams. There was really only one kid that played both sides of the ball and that was Bennett who started at FS and played some WR. I don't have my roster right in front of me but if my memory serves me correct, there were 23 seniors, 12 juniors and 6 sophomores on varsity. That's only 41, 50 would be optimal but that's just more kids standing around. I didn't make but one JV game but they finished 8-1 but had decent numbers on the sideline. I made all the freshman games which had between 50 and 60 kids, until report cards came out...

This move will not help Ozen's numbers. If anything, their numbers will be even lower next time around...

Soulja, you better get that boy over to 88 Jaguar drive... I feel sorry for those kids over there. Who is responsible for this? Was it Saveat or who?

The district games are already set for 22-5A. That's how I was able to post Central's entire schedule earlier in this thread...

I agree that the district needs to rezoning and ENFORCE it!!! But it won't happen...plus you have the magnet programs...

You would have had to move 679 students to get Central to 6A...not going to happen.

Feel bad for those kids...they should be in district with Bridge City, Cleveland, Huffman Hargrave, Livingston, LC-M, Navasota and Silsbee...

Soulja, if PAM looses to Lumberton and Vidor this year, I promise you that they will have a new coach in 2017...

Great post!!! But won't happen. Kids are not wanting to go to Ozen, at least not the majority of the football players...

Soulja, I know about the Pegasus program. I have 3 there now and a freshman at Central now who went there. My kids will be going to the high school they are zoned to which is Central. But many of the kids go to West Brook because their friends are going there, not because they are zoned there. Even if they don't enforce it at the middle school level, I think they should be stricter at the high school level...jmo.

Despite not being a Panther fan, it would have been great for the school to drop for the next 2 years. Odom middle school, the biggest middle school in Beaumont, is about a mile from Ozen and probably 90% of those kids go to West Brook because besides basketball, they feel Ozen is not going to win at anything. BISD needs to get some things figured out...

Ozen should be in this district. I can't believe that Saveat is going to cheat the kids out of a level playing field to save a few dollars...yes I can...smh.
