Bcz I wanna see BU in the playoffs.for the mere fact that getting a taste of the playoffs and the experience of been there I think will go a long way with the up and coming classes.gives them something to thrive for.imo I think it goes far with the local teams that make it in every year like  newton,WB,Nederland,png,w.o,silsbee,PAM.me personally I would luv to see all the local schools get that chance.

After being out of school for 25 straight days, 17 of which were school days, it can't hurt to be back in class and on a normal routine...

Schools back in session, they'll get it done this week...

To me, like I've told you, it depends on QB play where we seem to be regressing.  If the QB lets the ball go, trust his receivers and plays like we know he can, then the offense will go because teams can't stack the box to stop the run.  If the passing game is the same one for the last 4 games, same final result as the last 2 games.  He seems to be trusting his legs more than his arm...until Friday where he snaps back, does what he needs to and we leave Channelview with a W.

This Game Was just ugly from the jump.  Defense actually played well, but ended up giving later on in this game having to stay on the field so long.
Offense stunk up the place, like really bad.  We're too predictable and too easy to game plan for.  This is not just on coaching (although coaching was a major part), it was also on the kids.  You Cannot expect to win when the QB throws 2 interceptions and your total passing attempts were 4 and you completed NON.  You CANNOT overthrow a 15 yard WIDE OPEN PASS that had paydirt written all over it. You CANNOT have WR's dropping wide open TD passes. You cannot line up, point to where the blitz is coming from, then continue to run the play the SAME DIRECTION. On special teams, King kicked onside kicks the whole game and recovered on of them.  You cannot allow that in a huge district game. Might've been like 6 turnovers.
This is the second week in a row where I yelled 'It ain't working.  Time to try something else'.  We ran the SAME thing we ran against WB as we did against King with the exact same results.  We popped a few run plays, but everything else was stale.  
This was the kicker though...We drive to King's 2 yard line and come away with NO POINTS.  I really just checked out at this point. I look at the sidelines, I see confusion on the face of coaches and kids. This might've been the worse display of HS offense I've ever seen and the defense got punished for it. At this point, I just don't know what you can do.  It's obvious that the HC will not take over offensive playcalling, but if he did, would it be an upgrade? It's obvious that we will stay on page 1 of the playbook.  It's obvious that we will do plays that actually work ONE time and never go to it again. I just don't know.
We'll take a beating to NS, but at this point, I don't even know if we have a punchers chance against LaPorte, Channelview, or Deer Park. We almost are forced to have to beat these guys to make the playoffs. I'm not confident in that at all after what I whitnessed.  
With that being said, King did play a good game and were very well coached with some good looking athletes.  They actually made in game adjustments to improve themselves as the game went on. That's why they were able to score those quick TD's in the 3rd quarter. I can see now how they were able to Give WB everything they wanted and some 2 weeks ago.
Get back in the lab and for goodness sake, let's get that offense some innovation, creativity and consistency.  SMH.

28-0 halftime. Im going home. 

I'm expecting a different United team to get off those charter buses tonight.  One that likes the feeling after games you win more than the feeling they had last week.  "KANG" as you say won't beat us offensively solely with the run.  With this North wind blowing, it may hamper us a little from getting back to the deep passing game that we showed in weeks one and two but the short and midrange passes should be there.  If we run the ball like we did in weeks two and three and how the QB ran it last week, we should be able to come out with a tough hard win.  They are lot going to let us have the W so we have to be able to absorb their best punches as well give them our best.  I feel the coaching staff will go back to making the proper halftime and in-game adjustments that I seen in weeks two and three.  3-0 on the road this year so far and hopefully it's 4-0 by 10 pm...

In your first sentence you say the Deer Park loss to LaPorte crushes WB hopes of going D2 again but in your 2nd sentence, you say Channelview will battle for the 4th spot.  If Channelview gets in WB goes D2.  Channelview getting in last year is the reason why WB went D2.

Yea, time to fix some issues and move on.  We needed that kind of game to expose some things that were not exposed in the first 4 games.  Better to get them addressed now so we can have a chance of winning 4 out of the next 5 games.  A loss to WB doesn't change my confidence in this group of coaches to get these kids refocused on the task at hand.  My preseason prediction of 8-2 overall and 5-2 in district is still in play...
