Same here.  I'll  be following them as this year,  I'm a band and cheerleader  dad...  and I have a vested interest in the team.

Last I heard they were called the DALLAS Cowboys, and  to be technical north shore isn’t in Houston’s city limits or school district. As far as the teams that are on the outskirts being labeled as Houston teams is because they beat and  have to beat and play Houston teams to get to state. Houston is in the center of  the region ...and also with Houston comes  exposure check the aau rosters every good player within a 100 mile radius will play on a Houston aau team. There’s a reason for that.

No need to go back and forth with this guy.  We understand your point when referencing the two cities.  Everyone except him understands that the schools located AROUND the Dallas area are at an advantage when playing at Cowboys stadium vs the schools AROUND the Houston area.  If for no other reason by getting to sleep in their beds the night before the game which means they don't have to change their normal routine...

That look on his face was from thinking about: losing state at Dallas Lincoln, having a beast at Skyline only to see his D couldn't stop Kyler and then thinking he had that ship finally locked up only to have the football gawds snatch it away.

CB- I know Locke went to Texas and all but no way he was the best CB. B.Thomas (Lamar) was definitely the better one. J.T Thomas (Houston) from that same year could also be mentioned. Played CB 1 season and was absolutely stunning.  Cantue (Alcorn St) comes to mind Dan Dan (Midwestern State) from 05, also Corey Coleman and Ivory Williams could shut down one side of the field. Central has had good DBs, most off of athleticism but BT was def the most technique sound CB
 Also them CBs from Coach Dixon days were dogs. Just can't think of there names

It's a job and it's probably not too far of a drive for him.  And trust me, kids in Kirbyville play basketball, he just has to get them out of the halls and to play in school.

Agreed but if nothing else, I will be able to say that Central won the last meeting between them and the Bulldogs.  Hopefully the TWolves coaching staff is a little more prepared this year for the game.

Besides North Shore, nobody will beat them in the regular season.  As long as they can get a D2 bid for the playoffs (which means 2 of the 3 between North Shore, Deer Park and Channelview must make the playoffs) another magical run is possible.
I like how Peevey shows a lot of love to his kids in this write up and I'm quite sure in Dave Campbells as well.

I am too... hate to say it but this could be the last Nederland vs BMT school for some years... going to cherish the central Nederland battles winner become district Champs, early ozen years was a lot of fun early years the last several years of the school it wasn’t fair to the kids of the revolving door at the HC gig but that’s water under the bridge now, lots of great talent from all three schools on the field. Plus The Butch is by far the best SETX high school stadium hopefully Nederland can some how get a round 2-4 playoff game there one day, great stadium and not bad seat anywhere in that stadium. Looking forward to a great injury free game, on sept 5th that both teams can come out better than before!

Beaumont vs P.A very underrated rivalry. 
Ozen had athletes just never touched the field, idk what changed in Beaumont but for awhile at least the kids would go out and play but now those same kids with sky high talent don’t even touch the field, same thing for Central. Both schools had just as much talent as anybody but the kids never came out. Most had a street mentality with no guidance and I’m sure you as a P.A resident can say the same about Memorial.
