Westfield is another team that West Brook hasn't never beat. I don't know if this Westfield team is as strong as the ones I've seem in the past 6 years, but know Westfield always plays a very, very physical brand of football. West Brook goes down 31-10. I just don't think West Brook match up well with Westfield, Personally, I wish West Brook would take Westfield off there schedule there must other teams that they match up better with. GOOD LUCK BRUINS!

WOW!!! What a game. I hadn't seen that kind of hit in a game in very long time. Central defense really took it to West Brook. If it wasn't for a few bad snaps on punts, I don't think West Brook scores. I really feel Central outplayed West Brook, just a few key turnovers hurt them. I have to get West Brook defense credit, they really made a lot of big plays and game save tackles. Since this is the first time I've seen Central Offense, I'm little undecided about it. Its missing something, but I can't put my finger it. TO WESTBROOK AND CENTRAL THANKS FOR A GREAT GAME

*West Brook vs. Ozen/33-0 WB Wins/Comments*
BMT HS FOOTBALL FAN replied to team first's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Went to game last night. I stayed to about 6:00 in the 4th. I was really disappointed, I thought the game would be more competitive. Ozen defense really had a hard time pickup West Brook the ball carriers last night. West Brook front 7 really dominate the line of scrimmage, Ozen ball carriers had no where to run ( game really got boring ). It's looks like another long embarrassing season for Ozen, I really feel for those kids. As for West Brook no real surprises offense, Reyes really did a good job at Q.B.. West Brook defense, I was impressed with the defensive line size and athletic ability. -

This was a well played and hard fought football game. To bad the jags couldn't win this game. The jags had there chances, just move the ball in the 4th quarter. I very proud of the of the way this kids played. Especially Central's defense who kept Friendswood out of end zone twice in the 4th quarter. As for penalties, I have never been to football game that was call perfect and I never will ( guys, let it go ). Congrats to Friendswood on there Region 3 championship and Good luck against Lake Travis ( your gonna need it) HERE ARE SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CENTRAL/ FRIENDSWOOD GAME: [Hidden Content]

Central vs. Angleton Predictions?
BMT HS FOOTBALL FAN replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I think this will be a pretty good matchup. There is no speed difference between Central and Angleton. I think come down central offense against Angleton defense. The jags are going to have win this game field. Who ever make the best in game adjustments will win this game. BTW, Guess who was second to Angleton in the 4 by 100 relay: University of Texas UIL State Track & Field Meet - 5/9/2008 to 5/10/2008 2008 Championships Mike A. Here's a story on the rivals site. Gerry Hamilton Orangebloods.com Talk about it in the Message Boards Angleton's Quandre Diggs isn't any normal freshman. Diggs is one of the rare freshmen that not only started on varsity from jump street on a 4A team, but started both ways at quarterback and safety. Along with the impressive feat of being a two way starter and logging nearly 90 plays per Friday night, the 5-foot-8.5, 182-pounder boasts some impressive bloodlines, being the brother of former Texas Longhorn All-American and current San Diego Charger Quentin Jammer. Being the brother of a Longhorn great combined with a boatload of talent, it comes without surprise that the Texas Longhorns already have their eye on the next Angleton High star. Quandre Diggs is already receiving recruiting attention as a freshman. On Tuesday at the 23-4A district track meet, the freshman who carries himself with much more maturity than the average 15- or 16-year-old, took the time to talk with Orangebloods.com about his brother, Texas, football and track. Q: What events will you be competing in at the district meet? A: The long jump and 100-meter dash. My best in the long jump is 21'5" and 10.66 in the 100-meters (hand timed). Q: Did you have a favorite college team growing up? A: It's The University of Texas because my brother (Quentin Jammer) played there. I like USC too. It's California and I like it there. Q: Would you say that you are tight with your brother? A: My brother and I, we might be the closest couple of brothers in the world. We like to spend a lot of time together when he is in town or when I visit. We're real close with each other. Q: Do you see yourself as a running back or safety? A: Safety. I like hitting people. That's what I grew up looking at my brother playing, corner and safety, so that's what I like the most. Q: What was the experience like starting on varsity both ways all season long? A: I think I did all right with it, but it was tough on my body. I could have done better, but it was a great experience. It was just a great experience that will make me better for the rest of my high school career and on. Q: Do you have any summer camp plans? A: I've already got one marked down. I have the Texas camp. I just signed up last week for the June 8th through 11th. I might go to a couple more, but I haven't signed up yet. Q: What is it like watching D.J. Monroe run on a weekly basis? A: It's crazy watching him run. I grew up with him my whole life, so I pretty much knew he may end up the fastest man in high school his senior year. It's great to watch him. Q: What are you looking forward to in spring football practice? What position will you work at? A: It will be quarterback and safety again. I'm just going to be working on getting my footwork better. At safety, getting better at play recognition. Q: Are your brother and D.J. Already working on you as far as Texas is concerned? A: It's nice knowing that Texas already has their eye on me as a freshman. They (Quentin and D.J.) aren't really recruiting me hard, but they let me know a lot that Texas has their eye on me. Diggs finished his freshman season with more than 300 yards rushing and 60 tackles at safety as well as scoring on a 70-yard kick off return. He earned second team 23-4A all-district honors for his efforts

*Central vs. Lockhart/24-21 Central Wins!!!!*

I just got back for the game. Central's defense played great. They were very prepared for Lockhart's offense. Great job by the defensive coach"s. Offensive Central did well, just miss on a few big pass play that would have broke the open. MAN !!! that 4th quarter was crazy. I have give Lockhart credit they gave it all they had, but Central defense made the big plays when they need it. GOOOO JAGS.... -
I'm not surprised at West Brook loss today. The bruins were way too over confident that there offense would be able to move the ball. Dickinson's defense was very athletic, West Brook had no 2nd, 3rd or 4th option to held run the ball. # 12 had a horrible day (sometimes athletes have days like this). West Brook defense played there heart out. Would have been a good confidants builder for the defense for the Katy game (that not going to happen now). To all the Seniors Thanks for all the exciting plays, great games and accomplishments you had the pass 4 years. It has been pleasure. Thank you!!!!!

Lockhart reminds me of Clements Rangers who beat West Brook last year in the playoffs. I feel Central can beat this team. Central defense just has to be ready for Lockhart offense line up quick, back field line up in different positions and a few trick plays. Central offense should be able move the ball. I just wish coach Stowers would change his goal line formation that will allow the backs to able to read blocks and find hole in the defense. prediction 35-21 Central
