I think West Brook and Dickinson offensively are real real similar. Dickinson defense is better than West Brook only giving up 17 points a game(has had several goal line stands). If West Brook defense can't compete, I think West Brook can win. 24-14 Da Brook !!!

West Brook did what they had to to win this one. I have to give coach Stump an A for coaching. It was also good to see West Brook defense take a step forward sometimes instead of sitting back like they did against North Shore. I still think West Brook should use #30 more at running back with Micheals it would really help the run offense. Good Job Bruins!!!

You are absolutely right! I'm a realist, not an optimist! Did you see the same game I saw today? It's time to wake up and smell the coffee, Weed. Yes, we're good, but we're not NS good. Good morning--Champ--I'm awake and sipping on my coffee. No I did not actually see the game because I said yes to another one of those volunteer things at the school. If you smelled fajita smoke in the stands--that was all mine--- Realist or pessimist. Be careful they can easily be mistaken for one another. Think about your screen-name. A realist would have never survived the ride in 82. I watched the Brook loose three games early in the season and whittle --little by little --themselves all the way to the title--including a tie in bi-district. I do not remember any blow-outs statistically. This team is undefeat and has put up over 40 pts in all but one game and yesterday they did the same and piled up over 400 yds of offense and played pretty sound defense on a good Sterling team. I did peak and see some plays, and mistakes, but overcoming them is what makes teams victorious. You or correct--I am an optimist and often I have over rated things I believed in. And if they loose --so be it, get up dust off and get back out there. So I hold up my cup of coffee and say CHEERS To The Bruins. Here Here!! HAGD ;D I gonna have to agree with WeedBegone, But my point is this. These kids came in to this season expecting to have one of the best year in West Brook history, big matchup with Westfield, Eisenhower, and Katy and a chance to be state ranked. Hurricane Ike stole some of that away for them. As for as the state ranking, after Ike no matter what they do against unranked teams ( even if they score 100 points ). The pollsters and experts would not give them any credit because of there strength of schedule. So the last few weeks have been tough to stay key up. I think these kids are looking foward to this matchup.

La Marque, of all teams, is the wild card -- if it loses to Manvel this week (which is possible), and all the other cards falls just so, we could have a four-way tie for the final spot between Brazosport, La Marque, Manvel and Dawson. Man, that was one of the great games I ever seen. Down by 7 points, Jerry Ball blocks a field attempt (It look like he was shot out a cannon when he block it) with less than 6 minutes left. Then Ball score the game tying touchdown break tackles and carrying guys on way to the goal line. Texas high school football at it best.

I think Central have to come back from behind to win against Livingston. The only weakness Central has is at the goal line. The rest of the team is solid. Jag's by less than 3 !!!!!!

Here my take on the 4a Bi-District between 19 and 20 4a. Division 1 Representatives: 19 4a 20 4a Galena park Central C. E. King Nederland Division 2 Representatives: 19 4a 20 4a Dayton Lumberton Crosby Livingston A lot can happen in 3 weeks. If Barber Hill beat out Galena Park. King would play Central and Crosby would play Nederland. Too many upset possibility in 20 4a.

No joke! I knew West Brook was going to drop from that poll (5a tx football top 25). Especially when it was said that the only way to find out how good West Brook is, depends on how well they play North Shore. Personally, I hope WB can sew up a playoff spot the next 2 weeks, and rest everybody for the North Shore game. I know the kids and the coach's wouldn't like it, but it would funny. I just wish West Brook the best luck in the playoffs. The last two year have been heartbreaking. Opportunity's to even get to state are hard to come by, I hope we make the best of There chance.

I'm not surprise, Big Brown never impressed me. IMO BB never had any heart. I always thought something funny was going, when BB was running in the triple crown. One prep race before the derby? It like they were trying to hide something about BB. I laughed when they sayed BB derby race was faster Secretariat(OMG) .Now, Curlin is a true champion with a heart of lion. Win or lose he will fight to the end. Just my opinion!
