I wouldn't call anyone a god, but beating SLC is certainly something. ANY TEAM CAN BEAT ON ANY GIVEN WEEKEND. Even SLC, and if a team does beat SLC dose that make that a automatic top 10 team? you have to expect a big jump for a team beating SLC, especially if they're undfeated. i don't know their record, but if they haven't lost a game, and have beaten SLC, i think a top-ten record is fair. as for WB, they obviously should be higher. I disagree with you on Coppell big jump. IMO SLC is still better than Coppell, but I'm not take any thing away from there victory (great for the player, community and football program). i just don't think should jump that high.

Man, that poll is mess up. The 5a texas football site is already very very super elite minded, but this is ridiculous. WEST BROOK drops 3 spots from 20 to 23 after 61 - 20 win (?????),Coppell beat Southlake and jumps 11 spots from 22 to 9 (????? I guess beat SLC is like beating a football god) and Colleyville loses to #1 Trinity 35 to 28 and moves up 3 spots 17 to 14 (crazy). Can't make any sense of this poll?

Westfield has owned West Brook since they started playing in 2004. Personal I don't think match up well with Westfield but I think they are due for a win. They will have to outscore them. maybe 47-45 GOOD LUCK BRUINS !!!!

I don't know why y'all keep saying that West Brook was robbed by bad call against Westfield. West Brook loss because they miss a field goal on the 4 yard line with less than a minute and forty seconds on the clock.That's what cost them the game.

Oklahoma !!!!. To me would be the best place for Micheals. His explosive running style fit Oklahoma offense. He's runs alot like that Oklahoma running back from Humble, when Oklahoma won the national championship. I can't remember his name.

I've heard the same thing, that Brook has good size on offense and defense line. I just hope West Brook has more than just Micheals at running back. Are they good under classman coming at running back?

I love horse racing, but Big Brown always struck me as a pretender. It seems funny he had never been in a close race or challenged.

The best playoff high school game I've seen was West Brook vs Mayde Creek. What a game, both teams battled it out to the end. Chip Ambres had a monster game. District game Ozen vs Jasper. Ozen had a receiver #2 Nash caught a pass with less than a minute on the clock between 4 defenders and race 60 yards for touchdown to send the game into overtime. Although Ozen loss the game overtime it ranks as one of the most exciting games I ever seen.

With 5 non district games, at least we won't hear WB's coach bemoaning about playing Ozen & Central.

I just seen on the 5a board Lake Travis/ Dayton game was going to friday 7:30 Kyle fieid.

I'm not say WB defense didn't play well, I think they played great. I'm just saying the defense needed a big play against Clements pass offense. As for being sick about that loss. your not along. With all the upset this year WB had a chance to win it all.

MAN, I'm still having a hard time dealing with West Brook lost to Clements. I still can't put my finger on how they lost. I beginning to think WB just lost the momentum in that game and couldn't make a big play on defense to win the game. As for my opinion on Clements, to me they have the best offense I seen at running the ball in a long time. That running back reminds me of Terrel Davis. If Katy can't stop Clements running game they will lose ( like Stratford ). The only weakness Clements has is defensive speed.
