[/quote] Awesome post, see I dont have a problem with the girls who are picked just the number. 21 3A was alot better they had 6 on each team. Actually there should only be 5 but I can live with 6. There is only 5 starters on a team not 10-12. These are all district teams (5 kids) not the whole district. Say what you want be aslong as I am a live I will debate this issue. It is kind of like picking allstars in little dribblers. The first 5 is pretty clean cut but after that the talent level drops dramatically.

[/quote] They pretty much did, ha!  do the math.  8 teams times 5 starters is 40.  So you figure almost 70% of the starters got all-district.  If you dont see any issue with that, then its no use continuing the argument.  "Superlatives" just dont mean as much as they used to IMO. Just saw the all district on kogt. Lets see, 10 girls on the first team and 12 on the second team. Wow, these coaches are awesome. Also saw where they had new-comer of the year and sophomore of the year. Why stop there, you might as well name a junior and senior of the year also. Can you say "WATERED DOWN".

Is she the best point guard in 21 3A this year? I would say probably so.

I agree she is pretty good in 21 3A this year. But if you want to talk about point guards well she is not in the class with Kristy Sanders, Katelyn Bernson or Brittany Scott. Not to mention Chyenne Craigan. Sorry but I have seen all these girls play. Ciara is good but not in the class of these girls. The talent level in 21 3A has slipped a little. The teams from 2005 through 2008 could beat the teams of today by 30 points easy.

Blah, blah, blah, you guys can talk all you want. Society has gotten out of control just like our goverment has.  This country has lost it's morals and that will be its downfall. This started a long time ago, way before Obama.  Just saying!!!!!!

I can promise you this, Clifton Ozen who the school was named after would not be a happy camper today. Not just with Ozen but every school in the golden triangle and southeast Texas including Barbers Hill. Back in his day players did not taunt, I promise you that. Sad society we live in. 

Like I said before, In the past atleast 99% of the starting five of each team made All District. In the past it was so watered down that every kid got a ribbon. Atleast the coaches are going back to a somewhat "Old School"  of picking All District. Can someone post the Honorable Mention so we can have a clearer picture? Will not comment on the Silsbee picks.  ;D

Atleast they are not watered down. I also thought Burton had a good year but she kind of faded a little once district rolled around. Maybe that had something to do with it. But I did think she should have gotten something. Maybe she got honorable mention.

The lady bobcats showed up tonight. Great Job Coach Jost.  Another sucessful season. Hope that the girls build on this and work harder to get better. If they do, good  things are ahead. See young ladies it is all about the work you put into it. Pure ability will only carry you so far but if you put in the work then the possibilities are unlimited.  It is up to each and everyone of you.  The lesson is high school sports teaches you about life in the real world. I hope you girls listen. Nothing is easy, the strong survive the weak do not. Plain and simple!!!!!!!!!

They should beat Giddings with no problem. Number 9 in the state really, I don't think so. Records are deceiving. If Giddings is number 9 Orangefield is number 10. ;D In 2007 I think West Columbia was 30-0 when they came to play the lady bobcats. Guess what they ended up 30-1. Bahahahahaha!!!!!!!!Pulling for the lady hawks all the way.

Proud of you lady bobcats you gave the number 9 team in the state all they could handle.
