Coaches do more than just coach. They prepare these kids for life. Many of these boys have not been discipllined at home leaving the coaches the unenviable task of teaching them life's lessons on the ball field. I think that the most successful high school ballplayers.....the one's who stick with the program in good times as well as bad, lead the most successful lives after high school.
If people are honest, alot of the kids these days are SPOILED. When these kids were little some of them would say and act like they wanted and nobody corrected them. If a coach didnt rub them on the head and say thats ok when they made errors, parents didnt like the coach. From birth as a parent you prepare your child for ups and downs in life. A coach is supposed to work with the talent he is given and try to be competitive. FAIR AND COMPETITIVE!

Smith(best pitcher), Pitts(best bat), Sonnier(best short stop), Babino(best catcher), Duplant(2nd best pitcher, solid bat, but too many errors at third). Central: Nobody; I know this will make some mad but noone on that team would start elsewhere. Ozen: The short stop could make 2nd team ss or utility. Lumberton: need to see again; didn't look as strong as some hyped when I saw them. Livingston: CF impressed.
Livingston: Bryant McClendon and Tyler LeBlanc are two really good baseball players and Young men. True compettitors! They always have their "Knuckles Up" for a challenge on the field!!! ;D there are gonna be some great players left off this list....there just isn't enough room!! i agree with most of your list..add: lumberton bell and townsend livingston moore and cf is mc clendon png jalali lcm carline smith waddell second round should be exciting!! Good Job Bulldogs!! Great bunch of young ball players over there!!! I guess they're gonna show the district "How They Roll". ;). Good Luck the rest of the way!!! -
WOW!!!!! Must be really bad for seniors to quit. We know these guys and they loved the game.
The bad thing is that it's not always the kids fault as some people try to make out!! In the end the players normally are the ones who pay the price, along with teammates morale dropping because their buddies are not in the dugout. This is not isolated to PNG. Look around in the area at other "Baseball Schools"! :-X

West Brook has really good players on this team. They All Need To Be Utilized for their Talents. Together!!!! ::) No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference. ~Tommy Lasorda

The pitch count should be definitely reinforced to some degree! Some of the kids are pitching high counts repeatedly. If they are having a good game that just contributes to the possibility of them being used more and more to the limit.

Westbrook's schedule this week
astrofan replied to HSB&Rangers's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Asked and didnt get that. Home game and Home game ,thats because of the first game they had against Sterling was supposed to be at home but the fields were too wet. Giving it back I guess. -
21-5A game from Beaumont West Brook at 7:00 p.m.
Seems like another win for West Brook that got away. In the past leaving the starting pitcher has been left in too long trying to just get "ONE MORE INNING"!! Different look on the mound DOES make a difference sometimes!
Brook started the season with 1 pitcher who had varsity experience. With Wilson back, and a couple of kids starting to come through, they have played better. They have had to muddle through with 4 -5 sophs on the mound during the early part of the season, but they are now 7-9 and they are competing better.
obviously you did'nt know that kid Guillory was 3rd in the rotation behind Warner and Wilson last year and got some wins under his belt besides catching!
