I said only Hull-Daisetta got the playoff ban for this season. Burkeville did not receive a playoff ban due to them not being eligible. Both teams and coaches received reprimands and probation. None of which keeps any of their other sports teams from playing in the playoffs for the rest of school year. Just the players involved cannot participate in sports the rest of the school year.

Huh? UIL has suspended players from sports for the rest of the school year. The teams still are eligible to participate in playoffs. A probation doesn't mean a playoff ban. It basically puts a team on notice to clean things up or much harsher penalties will be issued.

That concludes Day 1 of state championships. Tomorrow will be 3A DI & DII and 4A DI & DII championships. First game tomorrow will be the Kountze/Paradise game and it will have it's own game thread.
