It doesn't matter what team someone supports when it comes to making an opinion. It's completely irrelevant. Tarkington isn't poking the bear. Why do you think a member has to represent a team with his comments in order to be credible? That's like you cannot make a comment about Bridge City football because you are a fan of a Silsbee team that hasn't won a state championship like BC has in that sport. Ridiculous

You also made comments, not just questions. I have no problem with folks "questioning" Silsbee teams. It comes with the territory of great programs. I just try to provide answers to those questions. Particularly when a player is being singled out. You stated that you thought Rice should be more dominant. I provided a rebuttal.

You also assumed that there was no competition for Rice in district play. I can list 4 teams that had as big or bigger post players than Rice in district. I agree, Santa spouts off a lot on here without being accurate with his comments (something I thought everyone here knew). I gave you some of his stat line but stats don't always tell the story. On a team like Silsbee with it's guard play, post play is not going to be the dominating factor like it is with other teams. But I thought most folks knew this about Silsbee. I guess I was wrong.

Question. Have you seen every team in Silsbee's district play this season? Also, have you seen Silsbee's pre-district schedule? My point being that Rice has seen plenty of competition this season. Any player averaging 13 boards a game is good in my book. Regardless if he plays for Silsbee or what district he plays in. BTW, Rice is '6"6

Very good. To me the turning point in the game was the 2nd Q. LP, particularly #2, was gassed. Lot's of energy spent in that first quarter and he was spent by half time. 2nd half LP looked tired. It showed from a shooting a defending stand point. BU's relentless pressure took a toll. Combine that with LP applying full court pressure and it seemed to wear down LP more than it did BU. #2 gutted it out but late in the game he just didn't have enough. He led the team in scoring with 26 (scored LP's first 12 points). United then started denying him the ball as much as they could. That wore him down. LP needed more production from their post player. He had a pretty bad game. Also #11 started out in foul trouble and never really got into the flow of the game. Forced up some shots. I honestly think these two teams play 10 games, they split 5-5
