Silsbee, 42-0

Last year, Shepherd was averaging 355 yards rushing per game going into Silsbee game. Tigers held them to 215. WO-S held them to their 2nd lowest rushing total of 223 yards. The other 8 games Shepherd rushed for 300+. I like WO-S in this one, 30-13

In Silsbee's case, they defend the run very well. Pass, not so much but getting better. Shepherd averages 340 yards rushing per game out of the Wing offense. 32 yards passing. I like Silsbee in that match up.

Team stats HF Silsbee rushing 19/25 yds 50/348 yds passing 19-27, 189 yds 3-7, 30 yds total 46 plays/214 yds 57 plays/378 yds Silsbee held HF to just 1.3 yards per rush. It was also the first time this year that HF didn't rush for 100+ yards. The 214 total yards was the fewest that HF has had all season. Next lowest was against Crawford when they had 255. HF came into the game averaging 387 yards total offense (203 rushing, 184 passing) The 20 points was also the lowest score for HF this season. (came in averaging 35 points per game) Seven of those points came on the little Hail Mary pass on final play of game against Silsbee's 2nd team. Tiger defense really showed out. Silsbee run game was dominant.

Probably so but they are the favorites to win that DI district as it stands now.

I sure hope they don't drop. Need them to stay in order to have at least a 6 team DII district since BC, HJ and Liberty (who are DII enrollment) chose to opt up. I expect them to do the same in this realignment. (even though BC may have DI enrollment this time around) A 5 team district is not good. Have to schedule 6 non-district games which is virtually impossible. Be better off playing each district foe twice, eight games, then only having 2 non district games but that won't happen. If HJ and Liberty would just stay DII, then no issues.

Jay Z is over NFL halftime entertainment. He is the head hancho over the selection process. Been the head guy since 2019. It's why you are seeing what you are seeing for halftime performances of late.

I felt like HF's defense was a little suspect coming into this game and that their QB hasn't really been under a lot of pressure so far this season. Tigers took advantage of both those aspects. Silsbee only attempted 7 passes tonight for 26 yards. Run game was just that dominant. Silsbee was able to get great pressure on the QB with 7 total sacks and several more QB hurries. Horn ground game was non existent tonight. Very good win for the Tigers.

Should have switched my HF/Silsbee picked.
