8. So Hester isn't starting tonight. Interesting. ::)
 9. Since the Orange Leader did a mid-season team, maybe the BE could do one too.
 10.
great list Gabe! I think most of those are common household names.....wait...Is that just our household??? ;D
Oh please, not here. ::)
 11.

OF, BC, WO-S, LC-M and Vidor
Thanks. What county are PNG and Nederland? Not that it really matters, just for informational purposes only.
PNG and Nederland are in Jefferson County.
 12.
OF, BC, WO-S, LC-M and Vidor
Is Deweyville in Newton County? If so, wouldn't they still be considered in the Orange Leader family?
 13. Mid-season All Orange Leader Baseball Team Gabriel Pruett Orange Leader ORANGE — Here we are getting close to the midway of the district seasons and man oh man does Orange County have some stars. So why not put together a list of the guys? It is always fun to put the All Orange Leader Baseball Team together and this year I am introducing the Mid-Season All Orange Leader Baseball Team. MVP: Jace Statum, Orangefield This kid can do and is doing it all for the Bobcats. He plays some of the best center field around and is the ace of the pitching staff. He is batting well over .400 and leads the team in many categories. He has just around 20 stolen bases. OFFENSIVE MVP: Jordan Darnall, WO-S Darnall is helping put the Mustangs right in the middle of the playoff race in 21-3A. He is hitting over .400 with nearly 30 RBI and leads the team with almost 10 home runs. He plays shortstop and is no slouch on the mound. An injury recently put Darnall back behind the plate. He is certainly a do it all player for Jesse Riojas. DEFENSIVE MVP: Matt Hicks, Bridge City No surprise here and this pick is for a variety of reasons. Hicks plays some of the best defense at shortstop in all of Southeast Texas. When he actually makes an error, the whole stadium goes quiet. Then when on the mound, Hicks is as good a pitcher as there is. His overall defense is a vital part of the Cardinals who are looking to win another 21-3A title. NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR: Brandon Landry, LC-M Landry did play a little last year but not much due to an injury. Landry is back in full force this year for the Bears who are right where they always are — the 4A playoff picture. Landry can hit for power, for average and is a swift shortstop. The injury is a thing of the past and Coach Steve Griffith is a happy man with Landry these days. P: Trae Hester, Vidor 1B: Chase Angelle, Orangefield 2B: Justin Sparrow, WO-S SS: Quinton Evans, Orangefield 3B: Joe Robertson, Bridge City OF: Joe Mojica, Vidor OF: Mason Dallas, LC-M OF: Luke Rhodes, Bridge City C: Jacob Felts, Orangefield
 14. I am boxing three hors... I mean players in this one. Couples Els Westwood
 15. SETXsports will be at Evadale to cover the district meet starting Thursday morning!!
 16.
The inequities of having a 3rd place district team running a 3:30 mile relay in one district and sitting at home while the district champion of another district ran a 4:04 and got lapped at regional is what led to it......now, the cream rises to the top and the Regional Meets are very competetive.
That could be the case in any classification of any of the events. If they are going to allow 4 from district to advance in 1A and have an Area meet, it should be done in all classifications.
 17.
This is 1A, AggiesAreWe....the top 4 from district advance to Area.  The top 4 from Area advance to Regional.....the top 2 from Regional advance to State with a wildcard thrown in for good measure.....
Why is 1A done that way and not the other classifications?
 18. The Silsbee Tigers travel over to Orangefield tonight to take on the #4 state ranked Bobcats in district 21-3A action. The Tigers (8-9, 1-2) will be trying to get back on the winning path after losing two consecutive district games to WOS and Bridge City. The Bobcats (16-2, 3-0) and #4 this week in the SETXsports poll, look to continue their district win streak after taking down Hardin-Jefferson, 11-3, and to set up the big show down this Friday against BC. Should be another great night for high school baseball. Broadcast time will be around 7pm with first pitch to follow at 7:10pm. Click the link to listen to another exciting 21-3A battle. 19.
How many advance to Area, Regionals & State from each event? This is what I'm thinking, but could be way off: District takes top 4 Area takes top 3 Regionals takes top 2 Any help on this one?
Way off. First of all, there is no Area track meet. Top 3 in district meet advance to regionals. Top 2 at Regionals advance to state.
 20.
Gonna be a good one. Can someone please list the teams in it? :-\
When is this meet?
