  1. Alright Gabe, I get your point, but I could have done without the GW comment. ;D
  2. I didn't say that they were a bad team. Just that W.B. was better Mr. A.D.D. I can't read. You still haven't explained your point as to why Dayton should not be in our poll at all. I am all ears. Since you are full of answers why don't you tell me why they should be in besides you saying "we will continue to include them after the realignment". Crosby isn't that much further, include them. All heck just put that whole district in. It would make more since. Not fair to the teams in that district that would like to be ranked to who they play. I could go on forever with this. I'm sorry you don't have the intelligence to figure it out. This is like talking to my 3yr old. You can say things till your purple in the face and they look at you like deer looking at head lights. How is it not fair to those teams? They have never been in our site area but Dayton is. Jasper's district hasn't a team that we have covered, should we stop covering them too? Also West Brook and PAM, should we stop covering them? Please answer these questions. You say Crosby isn't much farther and that is true but this site decided where the line would be drawn and that's that. We realized that we would be covering some districts partially but that was what we thought was best. It's all about our membership and our site area, not what district a team may be in. Obviously you can't see past your spite of Dayton.
  3. Uhhhh...What? You might want to check your records. Gilmer was in the semis, BUT they won that game. You are correct. My bad.
  4. Lumberton basicaly graduated their entire team, over 30 seniors where on that team. Just a couple of starters back but they are some good ones.

  6. They went 4A three years ago, stayed 4A after this realignment but they are the smallest school in their district. BH and Lumberton have just about the same enrollment size, just above 1000. Glad you are over here. You have some great insight, only can enhance the boards.
  7. Good observation on your part bobcatfan4life. The question i have is, if they Jasper did do that and decided to play Dayton, why wouldnt they just play their originally scheduled game against Kirbyville? Wasnt it Jasper that cancelled the game? It would seem to me if they could play Dayton, then they should be able to play Kirbyville also. Just my 2 cents, but i think this cancellation was way too premature (and stupid). Today is only monday, a lot can happen between now and then. Not to mention they couldve waited and pushed the game back to saturday possibly. Is it too late for them to try to play this game? Would it be possible for them to reschedule the game for saturday or even the following monday? The point I think you are missing here beeninnikes is that Jasper could play Dayton on the 12th, but could not play Kirbyville on the 12th because Kirbyville plays WOS that night. Dayton and Jasper are both off that week. Jasper and Kirbyville decided to cancel this game because of obvious reasons. Dayton has two off weeks this year because of Smiley and Forest Brook combining as one school. This would enable both teams to have 10 regular season games instead of 9. Kirbyville would be left with just 9 unless they find someone in the same position and same off week as them.
  8. I am not sure Jasper would want this game. ;D
  9. And Lumberton calls us haters. goodsport you are anything but, "whiner". Even if Dayton was taken off the list it wouldn't make your team any better. I'm not hating. I think Dayton has a fantastic team and they will go long way if they stay healthy. I feel that people are missing the point that I am trying to make. So. Okay I give y'all win. bronco1 I've some of the stuff you put on here and had to wipe my screen off due to all the tears coming out. Tell me due you really think that Dayton is better than W.B. Please, enlighten us to your point. All you have done is ask questions, not state anything. "So. Okay I give y'all win" Figured. :
  10. This was our best ever month for member registrations, 536!!!! We also set a record for most registrations in a week with 164. With this being the start of football season, I am very anxious to see where our membership goes from here. We could reach that 10,000 membership before the year is up. Exciting times here at Setxsports!!!! Thank you folks and tell your friends!!
  11. I'm hearing ya LB, but to clear things up, Barbers Hill is 4A. It's just most folks on here just can't bring themselves to give Lumberton any respect. As for the polls on this site go, it's not run by the fans but by us Administrators. BTW, glad to see you over here. Hope you stay.
  12. That would be interesting, but I don't think Jasper would want any part of Dayton. If Gilmer can hang 56 on the Dawgs, Dayton would hang at least 63.
  13. Because we consider them in Southeast Texas, our site area. They have played in districts over here for years before. Should we no longer cover Jasper, Newton, Kirbyville, West Brook, and PAM because the majority of their districts are not covered by us? We said after the realignment that we would still cover these teams, including Dayton and Barbers Hill because of their close proximity and because of the many members we have here on the site from those schools. Is that a good enough answer? If not, too bad. Sorry, Mark, couldn't help myself. No! If you are going to answer my post smart al-eck then answer all the questions I asked. Thank You. Okay, here goes: 1. Barbers Hill 2. Because we consider them in our site area( explained this already ) 3. By how well or poor their results. 4. No 5. No 6. What gives? Hopefully everyone gives. 7. I'll let Bobcatfan4life explain since this is a direct question to him. ( but I'm pretty sure he agrees with me ) Just because Dayton only plays one team in our site area, doesn't mean we shouldn't include them. Jasper's district has no team in our area. Kirbyville and Newton, only two. West Brook and PAM, just each other according to YOU. If PAM or Jasper were to schedule teams in non district that were outside our site area, should we not cover them because of the fact that PAM would only play one team in our area and Jasper none? West Brook plays PAM, Ozen, and Central in their 10 game schedule. PAM, the same. By your way of thinking, after they play those teams, we should exclude them from the rankings because they will play teams outside our area? Jasper only plays 4, what about the other 6 games? These teams could have very easily not scheduled teams in our area in non district and left them with only one or no games against teams in our area. I believe last year PAM only had West Brook on their schedule from what YOU consider this area, we still covered them. By your reasonings, we would have to leave them out of our coverage. That's simply idiotic. Your reasonings seem personal not logical. It's quite obvious that you being a Lumberton fan, you have this disregard for Dayton.

  15. The Beaumont Suprise is terrible. They give countless wrong info. I really wonder just how much research they really do. :
  16. Silsbee's pass defense has to get better. But I think we will, Tigers take this one in a shootout, again.
  17. Yes they are. Went 7-3 last year, just missing the playoffs. I believe they had about 13 starters back.
  18. The two safeties were the difference. Tigers could have put it away, but fumbled deep in their own end of the field with less than 2 minutes left. Davis scored with just under a minute left. Tiger defense maybe their achilles heel this year. We'll see.
  19. Not me. I predicted a low scoring game. Both defenses are these teams strength.
  20. Davis gets another safety due to snap over the punter's head Silsbee 34 Davis 32 4 minutes left
  21. I haven't gotten any updates because my wife won't answer the phone. She is at the game, I am at work. > Right, we played H. Sterling, this the first year to play Davis.
