According to the PANEWS, the Jasper/Nederland scrimmage will be Friday night, not Thursday night. Could someone check this out please. I had planned on going to this scrimmage if it was played tonight.

That's funny, I recieved word from his friend's mother's brother's uncle's sister that he was close to committing to A&M. ;D

Just to set the record straight, I'll take a "fluke" win of a real game over getting manhandled in a glorified practice (scrimmage). But that's just me, I guess I am weird that way. :

I find this hard to believe. Maybe 3 quarters at 10 minutes, but not a full game.

Isn't this JUST A SCRIMMAGE? Glorified practice is all it is. Nobody wins them, nobody loses them. Never seen a regular season record with 12 games on it, just 10. C'mon people, lighten up. :

Where has anyone stated anything about 6 days? I understood it to be 5 days. Lumberton scrimmaged on Monday, the 5th day would be Saturday. BTW, it's just a scrimmage, guys. :

This scrimmage will be held in Dayton on Saturday morning. Due to Lumberton having to scrimmage Monday, UIL rules will not allow them to scrimmage till Saturday. Also with the rain that is expected over the next couple of days, it was decided to utilize the turf field in Dayton.

Lopez isn't the only one who will miss the early part of basketball season. Shannon Robinson is playing football this year for Silsbee. He hasn't played since 8th grade but has really impressed the coaches with how quick he has picked up the game. He will be playing reciever.

I went to this scrimmage. It ended in a 1-1 tie. Newton had trouble with their passing game. They should get better. Center wasn't that good.

Is this contradiction or what? First you make the BOLD statement that WOS will win this game " hands down ". Then you ask not to get slammed if Nederland " happens " to win. Dude, you can't be serious....You say well if PNG beat Lumberton and Dayton beat PNG then that means Dayton is better and bla bla bla...That's your way of figuring this whole thing out huh? How about head to head score last year, since you are talking about last year. Some of you Dayton fans just need to let it go. You are talking about last year. This is 2008, get over it for the last time. We know you are bitter, but come on man! At the end of the day all that matters for last year is 8-7! Stop being the HATERS that you are. This doesn't go for all Dayton fans as I do know there are some nice ones that do come on here. Give me a break, Lumberton has no room to talk when it comes to the type of fans on this forum. Anyway, we lost last year that is that, I don't like it but it is a done deal. Dayton and Lumberton are 1-1 over the last 2 years and the combined scores are Lumberton 15 - Dayton 62. ;D That doesn't hold much water. A win is a win, be it by 1 point or 101 points. I much would rather win every game by one, than win some of the time by 50 and lose the others by 1.

Losing Coach Stapert and both Whittakers, one from graduation, the other from transfering, will really hurt Spurger. I don't look for them to have the success that they had last year.

I am in agreement with how the polls were done. My only suggestion is to put Livingston into the mix.
