Vidor and Nederland split last year, so it made since then! I was just about to say that. They split therefore they needed the extra game.

Ditto. Couldn't do it without you.

22-4A Standings Who has clinched?
AggiesAreWe replied to Foyce's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Also, in 22-4A basketball, in the case of a two way tie, it went head to head. Dayton and LCM split their district games and that's why they played off in the Montagne. Had one swept the other, then they would have gone as the third place team. I am really not understanding why there is a different tie breaker for baseball in this district, makes no sense. -
Okay, what is the tiebreaker? A game? Runs? What???

22-4A Standings Who has clinched?
AggiesAreWe replied to Foyce's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
That makes no sense at all. Are you sure about this, Coop? I know in football they went head to head in two way ties in this district, but in the case of 3 way, was points. If that's the case, and Vidor ended up tied with Nederland for third, it would be a travesty for the Pirates not to go after sweeping the Bulldogs in district. -

District rules are head to head, first and foremost. Jasper clinched a playoff spot with the win last night. Silsbee's only chance would have been for them to win last night and then win their final game or lose and have HJ lose both of their games as long as Silsbee won their final game. This would have put them in a tie with HJ for third causing a play-in game since they split in district. It's all a moot point since HJ destroyed Orangefield last night. Playoff teams: BC-district champs HJ and Jasper still yet to be determined what seed.

Why thank you, tigersvoice. I turn the double quatro ( that's 44 btw, and starting to feel every day of it ). Too bad I have to spend my b-day at work, but I was told by my better half, next weekend will be worth the wait. ;D Thanks again.

Our Setxsports.com GOW is a doozy. I will be at The Rez Friday night bringing you 22-4A first place action as the 9-2 Vidor Pirates visit the 9-2 Indians of Port Neches-Groves. The winner of this game will take over sole possesion of first place and will clinch a playoff spot. Loser will still have a chance for first but will need some help and also still will have to battle Nederland, LCM and Ozen for the remaining playoff spots. Look for both teams to throw the respective aces which should give us a classic battle. Again, Setxsports.com GOW, Vidor at PNG, Friday 7:00, broadcast time 6:50. My sentiments exactly. I'll be in Silsbee Tuesday night broadcasting the softball game, I'll find out the scoop then. -

I am sorry folks, we do not bash coaches here on the site. I had to delete some posts because of that and I am sorry. If this continues, this thread will be gone. You can voice your opinion on how you would handle this matter, but it is against forum rules to bash a coach. Thank you for your cooperation. -
04/13/08 LU vs. Sam Houston State/Sam Wins!
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Our Cards swept by Sam, not good. I wonder what UNLV's excuse will be this time, he always seems to have one when it comes to Sam. ;D -
Aggies will not be a 3 seed in whatever regional they play in. Actually, I look for them to host a regional but maybe as a 2 seed. Still lots of ball to be played.
-
But he catches like one. That last BC game he looked horrible in the field.......IMO That seems to be his only knock, his fielding and not an accurate arm, but strong though. But, that's what the minor leagues are for, to teach you those things at the professional level. It's all about the potential with this player.

I thought this game was being played in Silsbee?

UT Impresses Silsbee's Jeremy Johnson
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Jeremy Johnson is the real deal. Barring injury, by his senior year, which is still 2 years away, he will be a top 10 state recruit and a top 50 national recruit. He is a very special player. -
If the BISD schools did not see this coming, then they are blind as bats!!! Of course Lamar was going to stop letting high schools play at Cardinal Stadium, how else would they be able to do all the renovations to the stadium for when Lamar football starts up. Did you actually think they would work around this coming high school football season? That would put them behind 3 to 4 months for this year and possible for next year too. Lamar is trying to get football back at the most efficient way they can. They do not have the luxury of letting football be played there while they are in construction mode. Bottom line is, Ozen needs to get their own stadium, all the other BISD schools do. Now after Lamar gets the stadium back in shape and starts football back, if they don't allow high schools to play playoff games there, that would be a shame. But I would agree with not letting someone have all their home games there. but think about it aggie it was nice having the beaumont bowl at a pretty much nuetral site instead of someone having all the field advantage at their own field How do you figure that to be a nuetral site? Ozen played all their home games there, Brook and Central only played there twice and Central had to play Ozen there for a district game regardless of who was home or away. Not so nuetral to me. If and when BISD builds their new stadium( the key word being IF ) then the Bruins, Jags, and Panthers can have their nice liitle play pen without having to borrow from Lamar.

Our Setxsports.com GOW takes me to the Big L Town, Lumberton Tx., home of the L-Train!!!, where the playoff contender Vidor Pirates come to town to take on the Raiders in 22-4A baseball action. Vidor is trying to keep pace with LCM and PNG for that coveted district title but just as important, a spot in the playoffs. Lumberton would like nothing more than to ruin the Pirates plan and get on a winning streak themselves. Broadcast time will be 6:50 with the first pitch at 7:05. Listen here on the site, LIVE!!!, for all the pitch by pitch. Should be a dandy!! Mike Sanchez, Setxsports.com Broadcaster

Houston Franchize 97 Gamble All Stars 94 Final!!!!!!
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
name the top 10 people in the NBA and tell many how many are bigs and how many are guards. Name me one Championship team on any leve (high school through the pros) that has one a championship without great guards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Closest one is the Robinson/Duncan Spurs or maybe Chamberlan of the 70s! I'll name one. Shaquille O'Neal's 3A state champion San Antonio Cole team. Their guards where good, but they were far from being great. -
I am working on that. I do try and cover as much area and classifications as possible during the season. Got any suggestions?
