I have a friend of mine who saw this game. He said that Brown definetly deserved the tech and that Henderson should kick him off the team. This has gone on long enough, his attitude is just terrible.

Obviously, the difference of the game was the 3rd quarter. Ozen outscoring LCM by 11, 13-2. The rest of the game was played pretty evenly.

Only thing that can be said about this game, it's quite obvious the better team won. Great season Dayton, you just ran into a much better team. Congrats on your playoff run.

Like Coop said, we will start broadcasting Hardin-Jeff games Dec.18 and also a game of the week starting Dec.18. I will be doing the game of the week broadcasts, which I'll try and cover as much of Southeast Texas as possible. There will always be 2 games to choose from, HJ and game of the week, so guys listen in. Like I said, I am going to try and cover as much as I can but the game of the week will be a determined by what would be considered the best matchup for that week. Some weeks we will do 2 games of the week, Tues. and Friday. Rankings and district standings will help determine some of these games, but not entirely. Starting with Tues. Dec. 18, I have narrowed it down to three games, but definetly leaning towards 1. Give me some feedback on who you would like to hear out of these three games: #7 Dayton at #4 LCM #2 Silsbee at Hamshire-Fannett #3 Kountze at #4 Hardin

No problem coach. I know who you are talking about, mcgee. He kind of gives us Aggies a bad name. Yes, abtr is right, I am an Aggie but my better half is a Lamar alum, she was the head twirler her senior year back when they had football. I am not the only one in my household that wants football back. If it was up to my wife, she would sell our house to donate to Lamar getting football back. Back to Lamar basketball, the good thing( if there is such thing) is that it's still early enough for these guys to improve. I'm anxious to see how they do in conference.

It's my understanding that only 2 football players are on the team with Dennis being the only starter. Dennis is probably their best player but I have seen them play with him this year and they are really not that good. WOS misses the playoffs this year.

Actually, Silsbee has beaten LCM also and regards to WOS, who hasn't beaten them? I wouldn't consider them a quality win. None of this matters, it all comes down to when HJ and Silsbee play each other. Besides, nobody thinks HJ is a joke, this thread was put up as a joke.

Looks like it's going to be a looooooong season for the Mustangs. Lose by 23 to PNG, not good. WOS misses the playoffs this year.

I have to laugh at this comment. Texas among many other schools have welcomed " bad attitude " players into their programs. Is it not possible for some of these student athletes that we have seen get in trouble with the law have bad attitudes from the start. I had heard how one player in particular, that just happens to be from P.A. that got busted at Texas, wasn't the greatest of people when Texas signed him. He had already had some run ins with the law but Texas took him anyway. Trust me, big named schools across the country lower their standards when it comes to landing a big time recruit.

News flash, the coaches do have a say so on what officials they get. Maybe not who they want but they can say who they don't want. I know plenty of officials personally who have told me this team or that team will not let them call their games. Sometimes it's just a matter of personality and sometimes it's about past games called. The coaches sign a request form before the season starts stating who they do not want calling their games. It's done every year. Look, my comments have only been posted to just get a rise out of one certain person. That person has yet to take the bait, so I'll apologize to whomever I offended and leave it at that.

I totally agree with HJ being #1. They are undefeated, defending state champs, and just knocked off the supposedly #1 team, Chapel Hill. The Hawks deserve their ranking. What bothers me is Silsbee not even being in the top 20. The Tigers are at least a top 15 team, they have proven over the last 3 years in 3A with 2 regional final apperances and a 3rd round apperance. This year is no different, they would beat at least half of the teams in the top 20. No respect at all. Good thing the polls mean nothing.

This was not the first time these two teams has played this year. LaVega blewout China Springs in district. Obviously, China springs made some adjustments and came out on top this time. If you WOS people are wanting to know how they did it, China Springs is a passing offense, they throw every down. That's something that WOS is just not capable of doing, that's not their style of play nor does it fit their personel. Apples and oranges IMO.

I'll be supporting Dayton, but picking Highland Park.
