  1. Hey, I'm seeing double. Which one's live and which one's Memorex?
  2. Comparison scores do not matter, it's all about the match ups. With that said, Silsbee will match up quite well with Kirbyville, always have since the Wildcats have never beaten the Tigers. This will not change.
  3. All this talk about one team playing their worst game, the other playing their best, players not wanting to shake hands, fans making excuses, field conditions, ect. ect. ect., this is all a bunch of baloney. It was 2 very good teams duking it out all game long, with one making just a few more plays than the other to pull out the victory. Please folks, let's not take anything from these players who busted their butts out there all night. Did WOS play their worst game last night? Did Silsbee play their best? This can be debated for quite some time. I for one cannot comment on if that was the Mustangs worst game since that was the first time I had seen them this year. I do believe that the Tigers had something to do with the quality play or lack of, that the Mustangs had. I've felt all along that the Tigers would match up very well with WOS, and they proved me right. IMO, Silsbee was just a couple of pass completions away from changing the outcome of this game. WOS made the plays when they needed to, that was the difference. I've seen Silsbee all year, and that was about as good a game as they have played but they still made some mistakes which tells me they could have played better. I don't think we have seen the best from the Tigers just yet. As for the folks that made those silly predictions of a blowout, well all I can say is that is why they play the games. I will agree that most of these comments came from non-WOS fans but there were a few that were Mustang fans, you know who you are. But hey, everyone has fans like that and I refuse to lump all Mustang fans into that category, that's just ridiculous. I enjoyed meeting with some of the WOS fans after the game, great to see the faces with the names. Ya'll are some great guys. This game is over, let's all move on. Good luck Mustangs the rest of the season. Let's have both teams represent 21-3A well in the playoffs and bring back 2 State Championships to Southeast Texas.
  4. Friday night has been declared Maroon Out Night. Everyone wear your maroon with pride. You WOS fans can too if you want to. lol
  5. Here's what I know of the theory behind Silsbee homecomings. A few years ago, Silsbee decided to have the best home game on the schedule to be their homecoming. They have had the likes of Jasper, Kirbyville, Nederland and Ozen in recent years as their homecoming opponents. With WOS being this years opponent is just keeping with the same tune. Silsbee by no means were trying to be disrespectful. They just wanted to make the game that much more exciting. Also, I think it will cause the Tiger players to focus more on the game and not on the event. From what I have seen and heard over the last few years, is that the majority of Silsbee fans like the idea of a top notch opponent for homecoming. I think it's great.

  7. After the game at the bridge will be fine with me. I work in the press box, spotter for the announcer, so I have to be up in the box early to get things organized and ready, announcements and so forth. Another place to meet that may not be as congested would be at the district 21-3A flag poles. They are the flags sitting up on the hill right behind the scoreboard. Just a thought.
  8. Like I said on another board, no Silsbee, it's a bogus poll.
  9. Silsbee would not face Palestine or Carthage until round 3, regional final, if either was to get that far.

  11. Explain to me how PNG will go to 0-4? They are 3-2 overall, 1-1 in district play. Am I missing something?
  12. It'd be nice if their were some fans in the seats this week!!!!! I was very suprised to see the small turnout from Bridge City for the Silsbee game. What's going on over there? Bridge City usually brings a great crowd but at the Silsbee game, they only filled half of the visitor side. I know our stadium is not a typical 3A stadium but I was expecting at least 3/4 of the visitor side filled.
  13. Silsbee's offensive line, they totally dominated the game against Bridge City.
  14. Silsbee fumbled 4 times against BC, but still won by 18. If they fumble( and they will ) 4 times against HF, they will win by 21. If not, then by 35. BTW, Silsbee runs the veer, not the vear. lol
  15. Oh where, oh where has kvilleballa gone, oh where oh where can he be?
  16. Final Silsbee 28 Bridge City 10 Silsbee probably had 3 times the yardage that Bridge city had tonight. Problem was, the Tigers had 6 turnovers. They only punted once tonight. The Cardinals were completely worn down by the end of this game. They were simply out maned, but they never gave up. I think the Tigers took alot from the Cardinals tonight. Bridge City had several players go to the sidelines with injuries. Silsbee size was just too much.
  17. Good to know, Lucky. We old farts need to stick together. Uh, I'm not sure that sounded too good.
  18. An old Ag I suppose. I'll give him a break. Thanks for the info Lucky. Of course,I can't say much since I'm 42.
  19. Did not know that SilsbeeD, thanks for the info. I knew we weren't going to their place next year, I thought it was just a 1 year deal.
