  1. Like I said, my post had nothing to do about the success of their season last year. Only about their numbers. Yes, I do remember the score.
  2. If WOS's JV is anything like last year's, they won't be able to scrimmage. They only had about 8 players on the JV, pulled most of the freshman up to play the JV game after the freshman game was played. Who won? And the point of your question? I was just pointing out that last year the Stangs did not field 2 complete teams for freshman and jv and IF that is the case this year, they would not be able to scrimmage the freshman and jv at the same time like it was posted earlier. That was all that I was pointing out. It had nothing to do with how successful they were. BTW, I know who won the one game I witnessed them play. Some of you Stang fans always get on the defensive. Geez. : Hmmm... From your reaction, I'm going to guess that WOS won. I didn't know. Since you couldn't just answer the question, I'm going to go ahead and add that I think it's pretty impressive that the WOS Freshman team beat the silsbee JV. And the point of my question was... Who won? Silsbee
  3. Good luck against Navasota in their 1st playoff game this season.... ;D Thanks, we will need it. :'(
  4. It would only be fair to post the 17-0 non-district win in 1998 against the same team if I were to do that... See stangchain, WOS87 got it. He's cool with it. BTW WOS87, in that particular year, we know which game was the important one. Before this gets into a you-know-what contest, you don't have to remind me how many wins my Tigers have over the Stangs, way way too few. But we are undefeated against WOS in the playoffs. ;D
  5. It was a joke to WOS87, who I know. That's why I put the smiley at the end. Quit wearing your feelings on your sleeves.
  6. Hey WOS87, when you going to post the video of WOS's 1998 first round playoff game?

  9. My wife and I are really going to miss Debbie. She was our son's teacher for the past several years and she did a super job. We wish her all the success in her new job.
  10. Looks like Coach Stewart's golf game was more important than Coach Hooks fishing trip.
  11. I could live with that list, maybe a couple of tweaks would do. I did not come up with a list simply because FOOTBALL hasn't even started yet and I haven't come up with that list yet. One thing at a time, no need to rush.
  12. And, as for which day this "all important scrimmage" : takes place, I think we know what the dilemma is here. Coach Hooks wants it to be Saturday because he's going fishing Friday morning. Coach Stewart wants it Friday because he has a big golf game lined up for Saturday morning. Has nothing to do with scouting scrimmages, which btw no one scouts the first scrimmage anyway. : It's all about priorities, fishing and golf. ;D
  13. LOL .. Remember guys Coop makes a living on making guesses anyway. So Coop, what percentage do we have on Friday and Saturday for the scrimmage. haha That's classic, Kicker, simply classic. Post of the year as far as I am concerned. ;D
  14. Always looking for that black spot, aren't we?
  15. If HF even comes close to beating Lumberton, there going to have to put numerous points on the scoreboard. I just dont see HF stopping Lumberton's running game. Beard 6'1 205 4.6 and Hanna 6' 215 4.5. Both Avg 8 yards a carry last season. No way buddy. And not to mention Lumberton's O Line. Hunter Howden 6'5 285 and currently holds 10 D1 offers, All State center Kyle Gillam 6'2 260. Not going to be an upset.. Question, would Silsbee beating Lumberton be considered an upset?
  16. I think everyone did well except for PAISD. They had 5 schools rated unacceptable. The only other schools I saw that were unacceptable were WOS and Jasper Middle schools.
  17. I wonder if Bob will let this make the PA News.
  18. I agree, Jasper's Parking is terrible. I do however like the setting of the Stadium. With some renovations and better parking, this could easily be one of the better 3A Football Stadiums. As for as this area is concerned, Silsbee's Tiger Stadium is the best 3A stadium. Of course, one would say I am a bit biased. ;D
  19. Newton has 5 final appearances too, with 3 state championships.
  20. He would really look great in maroon and white. Gig'em Christian.
  21. Hmmm? Yall are on their schedule as the first scrimmage? [Hidden Content] Click on 2008 schedule..... I was under the impression that we were scrimmaging Nederland also. Could be a misprint on our season ticket letter, wouldn't be the first time.
  22. And the purpose of this thread? Oh I know, to get your perverbial shot in. It never ends.
  23. and what is there an abundance of... 1. Critics 2. Whiners 3. Complainers
  24. According to the letter mailed out to season ticket holders, Silsbee is scrimmaging Bmt. Kelly and LCM. Did not see Nederland on the schedule.
  25. Right on!!! Maybe you can get through to him.
