  2. which schools? I was told McNeese was looking, but I don't know how serious.
  3. SFA, we can get in with our Senior Citizen's pass by the time they get this finished.
  4. What??? No soup for you!!!!!
  5. I will probably get jumped on for this, but here we go anyway: Honestly it really does not matter the classification, if the kid has size and can play, he will be seen. Now that is usually the issue in 3A and smaller schools. Kids might be able to play but are just too small for the next level. You could reasonably say that yeah he may go JUCO, but in reality D-I JUCO would be a far reach as well for some of those kids. People must realize that Junior college basketball at the Division I level is TOUGH. There are some future pros playing JUCO D-I ball right now. D-2 and D-3 JUCO ball, and D-2 and D-3 NCAA, are entirely different, for they don't have scholarships to give and rely solely on kids paying their own way and financial assistance. Those schools are a great option for kids that want to play after high school. Also, there are many NAIA D-1 schools that offer scholarships that will take a chance on a smaller kid that may have been overlooked. This I can agree upon. But there are always the exceptions. Good post Dicky.
  6. ummmmm..? this isn't football son this baseball you clicked on the wrong page. Not any of those teams in my opinion will even come close to making the playoffs. Think hard and look at what BC, HF, and OF have done and try not post these ignorant comments ever again. You are awarded no points and GOD have mercy on your soul. GOD does have mercy for me and he also knows how to take a joke. and I am pretty sure I am too old to be your SON. ;D Probably the other way around. Oh, and I never, ever, ever, ever, make ignorant comments. Just ask Gabe.
  7. Only 50 million? Well, to be exact, $52,345,013.18
  8. June 14, 2040. Mark it down. I thought I already said this once before.
  9. I agree. I feel the same way about Shannon.
  10. Oh, I'm sorry, this is the baseball forum. My bad. Okay, here are my picks: WOS HJ Silsbee in no particular order. ;D I figured these are the teams that represented 21-3A in football and basketball, why not baseball.
  11. AAW is mad that it will be bigger and better than SILSBEE! Not mad. Beaumont SHOULD be bigger. I mean they do have a 100,000 population compared to Silsbee's 6,000. But I know how Beaumont is, this thing will drag on longer than it should. Somebody will screw up a few times and there will be delay after delay after delay........
  12. Difficult? Maybe I need to go back over my brackets. I mean, I did fill out 9 different ones in about 15 minutes. ;D
  13. Across from Ford Park. Completion date: 2040
  14. I figured, I no longer needed this extra $50 million laying around, might as well give it to a good cause.
  15. I know, I know. I am getting sucked back in by being asked these questions. Can't be rude. ;D
  16. I remember that Nos. They were very good basketball players to be football players. I would tell you what Silsbee did to Jasper in basketball those two years, but it might come back and haunt me. ;D
  17. That was about par for the course for running backs against us for those 2 miserable years. We were the smallest 4A in the state :'( Yes, that was some pretty rough times for you guys. Kind of like our last two years as a 4A.
  18. I am not sure, but I think that is correct. I know he played when HJ was 4A and was in our district. He ran for over 300 yards against them in one game.
  19. Silsbee Hardin-Jefferson WOS
  20. A fine man, a very giving man. ;D
  21. I remember a football player named James Hunter who went on to play for the Lions. Hunter was an exceptional athlete. Not just a good football player, All-American in college and All Pro in the NFL, but James was a very good basketball player as well. He was a very important part of the Tiger team who went to the state tourney in 1972. Tigers lost to state champion Odessa Ector in the semis. Hunter was also a fine trackster as well.
  22. This is correct. Great athlete, not so great person.
