No need to, this one is over. -
Doesn't look good for LU Men and postseason this year.

Actually -- 15 wins. Throw out the sub-Div I wins. That leaves SHSU at 19 unfortunately, but the teams getting the CBI call have RPIs that are worse than ours...so, no telling. Perhaps SHSU declined the bid, but I doubt they would have... Declined what bid? I see that they are in the CBI tourney. Or am I seeing things? -

Aggies get a #9 seed, will play #8 seed BYU Thursday in Anahiem, West Regional. Winner will most likely face #1 seed UCLA in the second round.
-
I think they are in the NCAA tourney, but you never know. If the Ags do get in, what seed do you guys think they will get? Remember, I did not ask what seed they deserved, but what seed they will get.
-
Northwestern beats SFA, 69-66. Looks like the SLC will be a 16 seed after all or worst yet, have to play in the play-in game. :-[

Just wanting to know a score, I am at work tonight.

Moderator? ??? The actuallity is that racism exist. I usually don't say much when it comes to these issues on this board because there is no win for anybody on this Web site! But actually it does exist both ways... I am not gointg all black with this. But Blacks are dis-proportionly effected with this. If there was no racism in todays world you wouldn't have the "White Flight" you have in Beaumont right now. This Web site is so hard to discuss these topic because it is Southeast Texas... This is one of the most segregated areas in the world. When you think Ned, PNG, Lumberton, Vidor you think what? When you say Beaumont/PA you think what? To its credit Orange is very intergrated in the schools... Not as true in the neighborhoods! In the 90s' Blacks made the greatest improvement percentage in indivisuals with higher learning (meaning college graduates) of any other ethnic group. In that same time frame Blacks also made the largest increase of any ethnic group in unemployment... How does that happen? That is just one case. We can't deny that it exist in our worlds. Beaumont just intergrated in '82 so we are not just done with racism. A man was just dragged behind a truck in Jasper not so long ago. In '05 a young white lady's house in Vidor was burned down after her black boyfriend moved in. Don't be blind!!! It exist in life so we know it exist in sports. Very well spoken short, I totally agree. What I think some people have a problem with this discussion is where it's being discussed at. There are forums to discuss these types of issues and that's where they would like to see it at. Most come to these forums to discuss sports and not it's political side, which everyone is quite aware of. They would like to enjoy their time here talking up the game and what it all involves, but not get all twisted up in the darker side of it. That might be considered turning a blind eye to it, but that's how a lot of our posters see it. There is a place for it, but not here, at least that's what I am feeling from others. I know personally that this site's owner put rules in place to discourage racial banter and to keep it from the sport forums. He has put in place forums for those type discussions and that's why you may see some posts and threads deleted. What you will probably see is those threads just moved to a different forum for all to discuss. As far as I am concerned personally, as long as their is no personal racial attacking or moving a thread away from it's subject to race, then I have no problem with it and believe it could be discussed in a respectful manner. Problem is, it normally gets too heated and ends up going nowhere. Sad to say.

At the 4A and 5A level, this is correct and as far as I am concerned, a tremendous feat, I mean 4 in a row, unbelievable!!! But there have been other teams that have accomplished more than 3 consecutive titles. The one that really sticks out is Snook High School, 10 titles with 8 of them being consecutive. Also, Wheatley won 4 in a 5 year period, Bmt. Hebert won 3 in a row then their school consolidated, and PA Lincoln won 5 in an 8 year stretch. All of these were exceptional achievements. Just thought I would clarify.

I will predict my Silsbee Tigers as district champions, followed by HJ then Orangefield. BTW, Jasper is not in our district anymore. Silsbee HJ Orangefield WOS BC HF
-
Yes, that's correct. During basketball we did all of Hardin-Jefferson's games and I did a game of the week also. We will do the same in baseball except we will do all Nederland games and a game of the week. If I'm not mistaken, I believe we have the capabilities to do 4 games, aka 4 links, but Jordan would know that for sure.

22-4a All District Picks....................
AggiesAreWe replied to ozensfinest's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Crawfishing a bit now, I rest my case. BTW, it's not over for me like you stated. I never, ever considered being a coach professionally, I had other opportunities in life and chose them. They have worked out pretty darn well for me. I would rank my success in life above yours, but it's probably apples and oranges. This is my last post on the subject, back to the subject of the thread. -

I like the Shreveport/Bossier City site. If your team loses, there's always the casinos to explore. -

That is pretty obnoxious statements there, Dick. I beg to differ. I believe there are many people on the face of this earth that could not only challenge but beat you on the subject of hoops. There are many a high school, college, and pro coach that would make your head spin with their knowledge. You can't really believe that you are the world's greatest basketball guru. Yes, you MAY have more knowledge than most here on this messageboard, but that's not what you stated. You said " No one " which encompasses the entire world, doesn't it? Like I said, it's statements like these that you make that make you look like a big blowhard, quite the fool. If you are this "so called " world's greatest basketball guru, why is it that you are not coaching anymore? And, why didn't you make it to the highest of levels when you did coach? -

I am always right when it comes to BASKETBALL RELATED issues...all of that other frivilous nonsense is hit or miss. District picks and things of that nature that some people on here seem to care about, is not that important..BUT..If is has to do specifically with the roundball, I am ALL OVER IT!! Get off you high horse, Dick. It's comments like these that get you crossways with most folks. This comment is begging for someone to go back over your posts and come up with one that will prove you wrong. The fact is, by using that word " ALWAYS " a person would only have to come up with one post to prove their point. BTW, the all district picks are basketball related and are important to most folks. If it isn't important to you, then why even bother posting about it. I will say this though, just like Dick said, the all district picks have always been done the Monday following the regular season's ending or at least before the first playoff game was played. That has always been protocol and it was followed this year in football and volleyball. I am not sure as to why they would wait to do the basketball picks or if that is the case actually. I believe the picks were made right after the regular season ended but for some reason the media has not released it yet. -
Now that basketball season is over :'(,( would have really liked to have broadcasted one more game) it's time to turn to America's favorite pastime, GOLF!!!! ;D Just kidding. I'll be doing a game of the week broadcast for baseball just like I did with basketball. I will try and broadcast the best game possible that is not being covered by local radio stations in order for the Setx area to get the greatest amount of coverage. Be on the lookout for me as I'll will cover the area from 1A to 5A. Also, I will always welcome your input on where you guys think the best games are every week. Due to the Silsbee/HF game being moved to Wed. night, we will be doing the Ozen/PNG game tonight. I am looking forward to a great baseball season to broadcast here on Setxsports. Silsbee will have 3 starters back, Robinson, Walters, and Stallworth. Also '6"6 soph Avery Thomas started some games for Silsbee and with several key bench players coming back the Tigers will have a great nucleus to work with. Silsbee only loses 4 players and will have 11 coming back, 6 Jr., 3 Soph., 2 Fresh. I put a question mark beside Dominick Bailey's classification. He is a soph. but due to his age, he may only have one more year of eligibility. I am not real sure on that though.
