I would say Kountze/New Waverly, followed by HJ/Cleveland. WHAT!!! what about YATES/WHEATLEY?? OZEN/HUNTSVILLE?? Are you guys really serious? 8) :....Do you guys EVER look past class 3A? WOW! The Yates/Wheatley game will FILL UP a 10,000 seat venue on tommorrow...whoa. : Dicky, we were stritckly talking about our area. Now I give you credit about the Ozen/Huntsville game, but Yates/Wheatley is a Houston game, not our area teams. The Yates/Wheatley game is the best as far as the state goes but I think Ozen will win their game handily. And yes, I do look above 3A, but in this case when just considering our area teams, the 4A(Ozen) and 5A(PAM) games won't be as competitive as the Kountze and HJ games.

If I am wrong AAW will straighten me out. :D If you guys are talking about the '83 state tourney team, the starters were Lloyd McArthur, Ferrell Artis, Delton Harper, Darrell McArthur, and Donald Jackson. Wade, Terrell McArthur, Kevin Dodd, Gary McGuire, and Wilson came off the bench.

Your conference tourneys are March 11-15. It's tough being the braintrust of this show. ;D

What TWG is not telling you is I hit 8 threes in that game and 4 in the first 5 minutes almost breaking my bros school record for threes in a game...........and I scored 33!!!!! WHAT???? And here I thought the only score of 33 that you could have would be a front or back nine score. 33 against Cleveland? You sure your not thinking of that dream you had about your brother? ;D All of this while being box and oned the last 3 quarters part of which was by williams..............hey aaw....That was the same year silsbee was 31-0 or whatever they were and lost in the first round...........we gave them a scare at HJ and I had 25 that game Not to bad for a short fat golfing white boy huh!!!!! What I wasnt going to tell you is that they beat us by 40 at silsbee and I barely scored. THEY WERE GOOOOOOOOOD! You know Spinks, sometimes I don't like being reminded of that '98 team that was 32-0, #1 in state, nationally ranked, and then LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND!!! I cry everytime. :'(

Nope. I have just got confirmation on the time for the regional finals. I was wrong and w518991 is right. The regional finals will be at 6:30pm. Sam's game that Saturday is at 2pm.

With the TAKS testing causing the UIL to move the Regional Quarterfinal basketball playoffs back a night, this gives me the opportunity to break out my baseball vocals and get started on Silsbee Tiger baseball broadcast. The Tigers will play host to the Kountze Lions Tuesday night and we will bring you all the action right here at Setxsports.com. First pitch will be at 6pm and broadcast time will start at 5:45pm. Silsbee has 16 players on the varsity baseball roster which are made up with 1 senior, 0 juniors, the rest soph. and fresh. To state that the Tigers are young this year would be an understatement. It's basically a JV aged team but with varsity talent.
