  1. Halftime Ozen 32 Yates 26 Ozen did lead 30-13 but Yates closes the half on a 13-2 run.
  2. Cannot make it Friday night. :'( I'll be there Saturday to watch Silsbee and HJ battle for the seventh time in two years. ;D
  3. I will say, I do understand the emotions involved here, and I would not begin to try and relate with what the people from Orangefield are feeling because I have no ties to the community. But, stang4life does have a point. Why wish ill will or " be happy " over their loss? They are not the ones that " cheated " you. IMO, good news to the Orangefield folks would be that particular ref never officiated a game again, not for Navasota to lose. I have always felt that if I or my team lost in the playoffs, I would like for the team that beat me win it all, therefore I could claim that we got beat by the champions. Of course unless I have some personal ties with another team, be it fellow district team or some other connections that would lead me to pull for them instead, aka Silsbee and HJ situation. I know this situation is a little different, and like I said, I won't begin to think I know how you guys feel. Gabe, after working with you over the last few months, I have come to know and appreciate how much the Lady Bobcat basketball team means to you. Please don't take this as a knock on you personally. You do an outstanding job and should be commended for it. All I am saying is this, I really hate the fact the game ended the way it did, just sad. But to smile about another team losing just doesn't seem right. Also, having one to lose the way you guys lost is not right either.
  4. If you click on the link we have provided to access the UIL brackets, you'll see that they have the 4A Region III tournament being held at the Berry Center in Cy-Fair. That's all we can go buy.
  5. Congrats Silsbee I might have to make a road trip down to Huntsville Not sure where I'll be this weekend. I am waiting on the rest of the games to go final to determine that.
  6. Okay, now it's over. I just don't see my Tigers blowing a 27 point 4th quarter lead. On to Huntsville, c'mon HJ, come join us.
  7. Whats the score? Our computer system changed here at work, not able to listen to the games. :'(
  8. This game is o.. no, I am not going there just yet.
  9. There in lies the reason for Green to get MVP. She had to carry her team more so than Little had to. I'll take the coaches of this district opinions before I'll ever take one of a messageboard " wannabee coach ".
  10. Sadly, but greatfully, I have to go to work tonight. But I'll be listening to the HJ-Navasota game and keeping up with all the rest of the scores here on the site. Keep me updated Coop!!
  11. I am ready for tonight to be over so I can figure out where I'll be going to broadcast this weekend. I am just bummed that I didn't get to do any broadcasting tonight. Got to pay the bills. :'( Good luck to all our local teams( specially my Silsbee Tigers ), make us proud.
  12. I agree Lazeek. Lamar needs either to win out in conference or win the conference tourney, or both, which would be my preference. There is though another opportunity for Lamar to go to a post season tournament. After the NCAA and NIT get there fields, there is another post season tournament with a 16 team field. I am quite sure the Cards would make this one if they failed to make the prior 2. So, in that regards, there are other chances.
  13. Lumberton running back Cody Hussey signed with Oklahoma Panhandle State today. Congrats Cody on extending your football career, well deserved. Good luck, from Setxsports.
  14. My first guess would be Bronson or Hart from Jasper.
  15. According to the UIL website, the 4A Region III tournament will be held at the Berry Center at Cy-Fair.
  16. Good to see Silsbee's Donovan Harris hasn't missed a beat, winning the 110 hurdles by a full second. Donovan looking to repeat as state champion in the 110 hurdles.
  17. Actually, there's not that much talk about HJ in this thread. But you are right, this is a Silsbee thread.
  18. Ok now which one is it? It's 74.5-61. ;D Glad to know my many fans are keeping me in line. I didn't know you were such a big fan?
  19. You left 3 teams off the list that really should be considered. Newton, Big Sandy and Spurger have very good chances of making it to Austin.
  20. Silsbee ends Bellville's Cinderella season, Tigers take it 76-62.
  21. The Hawks just keep on keeping on, 71-64 HJ. I truely believe this year's Hawk team is now better than last year's team. I was one of the doubters early in the season thinking that there's no way they could be better losing a fantastic player in Ryan Donahoe. But I was wrong. Jarvis Benard has now taken over the role that Ryan had last year and the Hawks aren't missing a beat. IMO, he is every bit as good as Ryan and still has another year to go. Good luck Hawks. ( of course until you meet my Tigers )
