  1. WOW!!! That was much closer than I expected. Congrats Coach Andrews and the Bucs.
  2. I have been told now that the game will be at Lufkin Middle School, not Lufkin Hudson.

  4. #1 ranked Diboll advances to the regional tournament after escaping Crockett tonight, 45-43. They will play the winner of Madisonville and Taylor in the regional semis.
  5. Everytime I see that WOS is playing LCM in baseball, I immediately think of Coop and then a song pops into my head that goes like this: " Torn between two lovers, feelin like a fool. Lovin both of you, is breaking all the rules."
  6. I will travel over to Dayton tomorrow night to bring you coverage of Bi-District action between 21-3A co-champ Hardin-Jefferson Hawks and 22-3A third place Liberty Panthers. HJ is coming off a tiebreaker loss to Silsbee last Friday night and the coaching staff along with the whole team of Liberty was there in attendance to do as much scouting as possible on the Hawks. IMO, they will need it and then some. This should be an interesting game as the PG of the Panthers is a former Hawk. Just another story within the game. Broadcast time is not yet been determined, with tipoff to be sometime around 8pm. The reason for the broadcast time to be up in the air is we may be broadcasting the early game also, WOS/Coldspring. Their tipoff is at 6pm. If we are able to do the doubleheader then I'll kickoff the broadcast at 5:45pm and stay on until the final second has ticked off of the HJ/Liberty game. If not, I'll start broadcast of HJ at about 7:45pm. Stay tuned here to Setxsports for all the LIVE action of boys high school basketball playoffs!! Mike Sanchez, Tiger Sports and Setxsports.com broadcaster
  7. I am willing to make that bet, name the price. You willing to make the bet about my Aggies?
  8. Yes, until basketball season is completely over. Baseball will start officially on March 17th. Tell that to my body come Saturday night after I do 6 yes 6 games this week!!! Yeah, but they don't mean anything.
  9. One things for sure, Biggio's team will probably be the dirtiest team around. By that, I mean that their laundry bill will definetly go up. Also the pine tar supply will go up.
  10. I think Ruckdad is right, Lamar loses both games this week. Season over.
  11. I agree. That guy knows nothing about high school baseball. : I can hear a parent now, " Hey coach, where did you learn your baseball from, the Lastros?"
  12. The Mustangs reign ends this fall. Tigers take top spot.
  13. Taylor is the third place team in that district. They also get a first round bye. They will play Cleveland in the Area round.
  14. Looking at the brackets, Ozen should make it to the regional tourney. They could face Huntsville in the quarters, winner goes to regionals. Then they could face Houston Jones in the regional semis. Then the regional finals could be against Wheatly or Yates.
  15. Of course. ;D ;D Hey, I thought you were finished posting on this site. ;D Tell ST4life that if he goes, he may have to experience that sickening feeling produced by a thundering "Burrell Dunk". Hopefully he will know how to point at the scoreboard in retaliation. No, AAW, it was just that one thread that Nos resigned from. I looked at that closely 'cause I didn't want to lose him and concluded it was just that thread. He was kind to me and I don't get that much kindness. I think you better read that again. I understood where he was coming from though, I took care of it.
  16. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that one. ;D
  17. I took care of that,Nos.
  18. Yes, until basketball season is completely over. Baseball will start officially on March 17th.

  20. Of course. ;D ;D Hey, I thought you were finished posting on this site. ;D Tell ST4life that if he goes, he may have to experience that sickening feeling produced by a thundering "Burrell Dunk". Hopefully he will know how to point at the scoreboard in retaliation. I think we have seen the last of ST4life. He is no longer a member of the site.
  21. Of course. ;D ;D Hey, I thought you were finished posting on this site. ;D
  22. Other than Bucholz, Pee Wee Langham trumps the rest of these guys.
  23. Good stuff, Chad. Thanks for all you do for the site.
  24. This is a great post, short. You have nailed it. David Green was just as good a coach back then as he is now. The PA kids just didn't take to his style of coaching. There's no question that it is a winning style. You mention that the kids are more team oriented now. I beleive that to be true, all the prima-donnas are gone.
  25. Mike That is some good stuff right there. Will your Dad be making that trip as well? A buddy of mine from Stephenville scooped me up a couple of Tickets, so I will be taking my oldest son to his first state tournament trip this year. I am hoping to start that tradition that your dad started with you. I hope he does not walk into any stop signs, when we get there. (inside joke) LOL!! That was classic, you have to admit even though it happened to you! My Dad's health just won't allow him to go sit through all those games. He wasn't able to go last year when Silsbee went because of his cancer treatment. It stopped a streak of 50 straight years of going to the tourney. He was upset about that, not so much of ending the streak, but missing Silsbee at the tourney. If Silsbee goes again this year, he will go but will probably only watch the sessions that Silsbee is in. It is a tradition with my family as you know so well. My dad started going to the tournament in 1958 and he took me to my first tourney in 1972, I was 8 years old. I haven't missed one since. It's just an awesome time.
