  1. Like Lee Corso would say " Not so fast my friend ". I wouldn't claim district 21-3A a state powerhouse district just yet. These teams have only been together in this district for just 2 years and nobody has advanced past the second round yet. All three teams( Silsbee, WOS, Kirbyville) lost in the second round last year and the three teams( Jasper, WOS, Kirbyville ) have not even played their second rounds this year. There is a possibility of all three losing because of the quality of teams each are facing this week. Until this district( which btw, may not even exist next year ) has multiple teams go 3,4, and 5 rounds deep, you can't label it a state powerhouse district.
  2. I think it's safe to say, that whoever holds that record, it was done in 10 or less games since this was Lumberton's first ever 11th game.
  3. I'll predict that if both Dayton and Lumberton win their games this week, they will meet in the regional finals.
  4. I was going to take WOS in a close one, 18-17, but if Brock is out, then the Stangs win 21-7.
  5. Talking in third person now days. I hear ya. lol
  6. BUSTED!!!! lol
  7. Week 12 Ohio State @ Michigan Kentucky @ Georgia West Virginia @ Cincinnati Boston College @ Clemson Oklahoma @ Texas Tech Mississippi St @ Arkansas Louisville @ South Florida Maryland @ Florida State
  8. Eric Dickerson of Sealy and Donnie Little of Dickinson. I never seen anyone run the ball as " magicaly " as Dickerson did. As for Donnie Little, he single handedly beat my Silsbee Tigers in the state semi-finals in 1977. It was a sight to see.
  9. I'll agree with not giving Jasper a chance to beat Silsbee at the beginning of the year. But if you will look at the Week 10 Pick'ems, more than 75% of the people picking were taking Jasper to beat Silsbee. Jasper was the favorite going into that game.
  10. I know, I was just giving the guy a hard time about the "radio show". We don't do radio around here, we do the web. Gabe and I will have a great " webcast " tomorrow night. Playoff preview show!!!
  11. What radio broadcast?
  12. Actually, I'll have my broadcast partner Tigersvoice with me doing the color and jdawg03 himself there producing the broadcast. We will have a full house and expecting a great broadcast. Raider88 look me up before the game. I will be going down on the field around 6:15 to do an interview with Coach Credur, you can catch me on the way back up.
  13. Well those blueberry ones were great, but I never got to try the strawberry one's. They were all gone by the time I got back up there.
  14. I believe next year will be Jasper's year to shine. Depending on what districts the realignment turns out, will determine a district title for Jasper. If this district stays intact, I believe Jasper will battle WOS for the district title and I predict Jasper to win it. We'll see. As for '09 season, I'm predicting that year to be Silsbee's year to shine.
  15. Me, along with Gabe Pruett, do the high school football weekly preview show here on this site Wednesday night. I will explain the " meetings " as best as I can as it was told to me. Just tune in tomorrow night, you'll get your answers.
  16. I like that attitude!! But who am I kidding, I get a prime seat in the pressbox to do the broadcast from. ;D
  17. This is getting old. PNG, Dayton and Lumberton are tri champs. There is no outright district champion. There is a #1 seed and #2 seed, but all are district champs. So it wouldn't matter who Crosby played, they would still face a district champion. In Div.1, district champs face each other in round one quite often. Get over it.
  18. To say Lumberton chose Barbers Hill Stadium may not be true. Lumberton could have lost the coin toss and Smiley chose that stadium. It would be a good call on Smiley since they have played in that stadium in their district. I would tend to believe this happened because if you lose the toss for a neutral site, you are awarded the home side.
  19. Good point. I would vote Kelly #1. I mean they are the only undefeated team left.
  20. So I take it that you and coach will be doing the Newton game and I'll be doing the West Hardin game. Setxsports spanning the globe to bring you a constant variety of playoff games.
  21. This will not be a blowout. Buna is much improved from last year. The Cougars will keep it close, but lose by 10: Newton 30 Buna 20
  22. Looks like Silsbee soph. qb Jeremy Johnson is tops in the district in total offense with 2,300 yards and accounting for 26 td's, 17 passing 9 rushing. Great start to his varsity career.
