The Cardinals have given up 209 points in just 4 district games, for an avg. of 52 points a game, with still Kirbyville, HF, and WOS left to play. It's very possible for BC to give up over 350 points in the 7 district games. What's up?

I am going to make a wild guess. The guy holding the trophy is an offensive lineman. -

Silsbee not taking advantage of their first half opportunities when they got down to the WOS 2 and 10 yard lines and not coming away with any points just spelled doom for the Tigers. When you play a great team like the Stangs with that great defense, you have to make good on those scoring opportunities, they don't come very often. WOS has definetly been a second half team this year and it showed last night. Mustang defense won that game by just limiting the Silsbee's offense to just 10 offensive plays in the second half. WOS just grounded it out offensively, eating up the clock and wearing down the Tiger defense. The WOS coaching staff made their adjustments at halftime and that was the difference. Silsbee had out played WOS in the first half, out gaining the Stangs 139-102. But not getting but 6 points out of those 4 redzone opportunities in the first half really hurt the Tigers. As long as the WOS defense keeps playing this well, the Mustangs will be making another deep run in the playoffs. -
**Post Week 7 - JV and Freshman Scores**
AggiesAreWe replied to bronco1's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I noticed that all the sub varsity games between WOS and Silsbee were all pretty close games. From 7th to JV nothing more than a couple of td's apart. Of course, they were all Mustang wins. I announced the freshman and jv games and both of those games were pretty evenly matched, could have gone either way. I'm thinking we are going to see the same tomorrow night. A close game but the Stangs come away with the win. -

Silsbee At WO-S Predictions?
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
To me, it's all about matchups. I tend to believe that Silsbee matches up better with teams like WOS than they do with teams like PNG, HF, Splendora, and Lumberton. I think WOS had better athletes last year and the Tigers gave them all they wanted, came very close to winning that game. I agree, WOS defense is better this year than last, but their offense is not as potent as last year's either. It's a wash in that aspect, but I will go with a better defense than an offense any day. I believe the game will be close and not a blowout. But, I have been wrong before. Just not very often. ;D -
You are right, I made the change. I would also like to thank Coach Mangan for coming on the show last night. It was a great interview and it was great getting to hear from a coach's point of view for a change. Good stuff. We are going to try and get more coaches to come on the show so stay tuned. Also, we need more callers. We got a 45 minute window so let's hear from you guys. Thanks again Coach Mangan, from a fellow Aggie to another. Whooop!!!

Silsbee 27 Splendora 25 Splendora came in well prepared, ran the wing T to perfection on the Tigers. Silsbee finally just out athleted them, hit a couple of big pass plays. I was impressed with the coaching for Splendora, they did a great job with that team. Unfortunately, Splendora lost just about their whole team, graduated over 30 players from that team. Silsbee was fortunate to win that game. -

What would you most like to see this week??

A Silsbee win over WOS coupled with a Jasper win over HF. But, if the Tigers were to lose( high probability ), then Jasper needs to lose to HF. -

Silsbee At WO-S Predictions?
AggiesAreWe replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Tigers pull a shocker Silsbee 21 WOS 20 Obviously this is my heart saying this and not my brain. And no, I will not bet anyone, unless they give me points of course. -
Just a Question about Bridge City.
AggiesAreWe replied to HSFootball69's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
WOS92, where do you get the 206 points allowed by Silsbee? I have been to every Tiger game this year, and these are the scores: Silsbee 33 H. Sterling 32 Silsbee 0 PNG 43 Silsbee 21 Newton 41 Silsbee 42 Orangefield 0 Silsbee 55 BC 7 Silsbee 14 HF 35 Now by my calculations, that's 166 points scored and 158 points allowed. Just wondering -
Last week in Bridge City we had to do the game via cell phone. We had a little bit of feedback going on but from what I understand it got better as the game went on. It's amazing to me that BC pressbox did not have a phone line. As nice as that press box is you would think there would be one. It's the only one I know of that doesn't have one. But, we had dimmer switches for our lights.

No ticket sales planned tonight in Mid-County

I don't have mine. I guess I'll just do my spotting duties up in the press box at Tiger Stadium. Gonna get me some of that fried chicken!!!! Can't get that at MC madness. -
Don't forget Silsbee' sophmore Chris Barnes. He ran for 180 yards against the Cardinals.
