I got blasted for calling out our weak schedule, they're going to hang you for calling out actual players! If you go back and look at my live updates of that Orangefield-HJ game, I kind of mentioned the fact that Hayes was not much of a threat in that game. He seemed very frustrated and down.

Right, Silsbee played Clear Creek, not Clear Lake. But what CATMAN and I are disputing is that Clear Creek has a lot of basketball tradition. They do not, it's Clear Lake that has that tradition.

and my point Bobcat05 is that Orangefield should be past the point of being congratulated for losing a game by 9 points to Kelly. I saw the Bobcats play HJ in the EC tourney, and quite frankly I was disappointed in Orangefield. I was expecting more from them. I can imagine you were disappointed if the only game you've seen OF play was the HJ game, because it was definitely a poor effort on their part. Now if the only game you saw them play was the Liberty Hill game the night before, you would have a lot different opinion. Liberty Hill was a really good team, if they wouldnt have given up the lead late to Kelly, theres no doubt they were good enough to win that tournament. My point is, I wouldnt form an opinion of the team based on one game, especially that one. I think OF will play HJ a little closer than that next time they play (at least i hope so). Actually, I saw them play the 4th quarter and overtime of that game. I also saw them play a couple of other games in the EC tourney, Tarkington and Brazos. Like I said, I was disappointed. They did play well against Liberty Hill, even though Hayes kind of hit a prayer to send it to overtime. The Bobcats played not so good against Tarkington.

I like East Chambers chances of getting in the playoffs. I saw them early in the year and they were really struggling. After seeing them at their tournament a few days ago, they have improved and look to be getting better as the season progresses. Coach Andrews will have them ready for district play.

I can't really argue your point, short, since the Briuns won the game. I will say though that Silsbee has played much better earlier in the year against better opponents. The Tigers are in a bit of a slump right now. I thought the better team lost.

The 29th is fine. I just thought it would be better to do it on a night that there were no games being played. There are a lot of people that attend, work, coach or play these basketball games that would like to attend this meet the poster dinner.

I guess you realize that the 30th is a Friday night. There will be a lot of District basketball being played that night, both boys and girls. I will be broadcasting a game that night along with a couple of other members broadcasting other games that night which will eliminate the owner of this site to be able to attend because he will have to be back in the studio to produce the games. We'll see what kind of response Saveat gets from his team now that he is head coach. Also, Ozen has not played a game since that Dec. 19th game against Nederland, Boutte's last game. It will have been 18 days since the Panthers have played a game, we'll see what kind of rust they'll have. Livingston will be tough at home. This will be a good test for Ozen under their new coach. This game will be interesting. Silsbee beat Kelly earlier in the year by 22, was actually up by more than 30 at one time. Now I am curious to see where we stand now.
