The two biggest kids on the 21-3A block open up district play tonight as the WOS Mustangs come into Tiger Stadium to take on the Silsbee Tigers. WOS has a 29 game 21-3A district win streak on the line and Silsbee is ready to break that streak. Both teams have some of the best talent of any team in our area with DI players on both sides of the ball. Lot's of hype has been builing up for this game and now it's time to settle it on the field, WEATHER PERMITTING!!! ouch! Exactly!! When is the bad luck going to end for the Tigers? Coupled with injuries, 2 of which are season ending injuries, Silsbee has now lost 4 starters and a key reserve in the last few weeks to go along with these ineligible players. Hopefully the bad ends tomorrow night. you consider it bad luck when an athlete in ineligible due to grades?? sorry if people disagree with me but an athletes number one priority is and should be grades! I'll clarify my statement. I do not think the ineligible players is bad luck. I meant it that coupled with the injuries, just some bad sitiuations for Silsbee to have to overcome.

Was it #9 if so I am going to change my pick from silsbee to wos...that would be a huge hit to the tigers... No, it was not #9. But it is our leading reciever.

I was told that the linebacker was ineligible due to grades. Haven't heard anything other than that. TD, you won't see ME come on here with excuses. I leave that to a couple of WOS fans. But I can't vouch for any other Tiger fans.

Silsbee lost 2 starters. Wide Reciever (leading reciever) and Linebacker.

End of school day. Players will be ineligible starting this Friday.

Actually the two teams that end up 3-2 will be tied for 3rd, not 2nd.

liltex, just what other site are you speaking of who is going through some financial problems?

A District game will be played out. May have to come back the next day but it will be finished. The only time you see a game called and not finished is a pre district game. Just curious... What if it is 35 to 3 with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter, can the coaches agree to call the game, or must it be finished? Silsbee and Jasper faced this back in '06. Silsbee was leading 35-0 with about 7 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. A huge storm blew in causing a long delay. After about 40 minutes and the rain continueing, the Jasper coach decided to forfeit the game, thus ending the game with a quarter and half to go. Silsbee won 35-0. (btw, that was one of the worst Jasper teams I have ever seen)
