  1. there is no player from ozen, if johnson were a beast he would have played last year...silsbee will be competitve again this year Going to the state semis, reaching the regional final for the 3rd time in the last 4 years, winning more than 26 games a year the last 4 years is what you call competitive?? : Give me a break! I believe you are intentionally selling the Tigers short. Must be a personal problem. :
  2. Latarron Barnes, Prentice Lane, Josh Skinner and Shannon RObinson Josh will help inside with his big body. '6"6 250lb With Lane at '6"2, that puts Silsbee fielding a team with at least 8 players at '6'2 or better. Two '6"6 players, a '6"4, three at '6"3, and a few more at '6"2. This Tiger team looks very potent. Master T, I heard that Jeremy was thinking about playing. I really would like to see him back on the court.
  3. Ho-hum. UDenver has cornered the market in ugly games.
  4. I'll predict a BC win, 71-57.
  5. The Jags were my pick to be district champs this year. Good to see they outlasted everyone else in the playoffs.
  6. I agree with all of this, griff. The way WOS is playing right now, if my Tigers were to play them now, I beleive the score would be 28-7 WOS. But, you never know, it's all about the matchups.
  7. HJ bounces back, wins 72-67.
  8. Jeremy Johnson and our Silsbee Tigers had probably one of the best performances of the season. Yes, they made some mistakes, but Jeremy was electrifing to watch to say the least. This kid is the real deal. He showed some good composure in the backfield and made some very good decision. I am just glad that Silsbee will have this talented young man back next season. I am also proud of the rest of our Tiger team, this team made great strides every week to compete at this level and they turned out to be way better than anyone would have ever given them credit for at the start of the season. They overcame adversity in so many ways. I am so very proud of this team.......We have alot of players returning for the 2009 season. Keep your heads up, I watched this battle and you guys played great!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D :D I too send congrats to the Tigers on a fine season. Yes 88, we do have alot of returning players for next season, it will be exciting. But, we will sorely miss three players in particular. It will be hard to fill the shoes of Chris Castle, Josh James and Josh Skinner. These three have been starters for Silsbee the past three years on defense, they will leave some big holes for the underclassmen to fill on the defensive side. I am confident that the coaches will find the players to insert but it will be tough losing that kind of talent and experience.
  9. Now that my Tigers football season has ended, it's time for the Tiger roundball team to get it going. Silsbee will have 4 players coming off the football team, 1 being their best player in all-stater Shannon Robinson. Once these guys get their basketball legs under them, lookout!! I look for the Tigers to be much better this year than last year, and Silsbee went to the state semis last year. Austin Bound!!!
  10. Two standouts for Silsbee in this game: QB Jeremy Johnson 23-105 yards rushing 1 td 18-36 passing, 317 yards, 2 td's total offense of 422 yards 3 td's Shannon Robinson 6 catches 162 yards Jeremy Johnson finishes the season with these stats: passing 126-227 56% 2,042 yards 18 td's 6 int's rushing 174-805 yards 7 td's total offense 2,847 yards 25 td's These numbers are worthy of MVP, offensive player of year, and Willie Ray Smith nominee.
  11. Exposed you say. Not good news for the Hawks as my Tigers had someone there watching.
  12. and that was done without Ned's best post player, Forney, who is still playing football. I am shocked!!! What's up HJ???
  13. Whoa!!!! C'mon HJ, get with it!
  14. 11 minutes left in 2nd Navasota 20 Silsbee 6 Silsbee two fumbles, 2 Navasota td's
  15. Tonight's game will have a different broadcast team bringing the action. Jordan Wilson and Cory Horton will be doing the play-by-play and color for this game. The Silsbee Tiger broadcast team of Mike Sanchez and Wayne Brasher could not make the game due to work and illness. Wayne and I apologize for our abscence and hope to be back next week. Jordan and Kory will do their best to bring you Tiger football seeing that they are Jasper Bulldogs ;D. Pregame will be at 7:25pm with kickoff at 7:30.

  17. Hey Jerry, it was great meeting you last night. I was impressed with the Falcon team, great heart and well coached.
  18. This is soooo impressive. Diboll is a very good team. For them to get beat 54-0 says alot about the other team. Gilmer opponents, lookout!!!
  19. Gas, you stole my prediction. > ;D I'll change it a little: Silsbee 38 Navasota 35 regulation ;D
  20. My sentiments also.
  21. Congratulations Silsbee on a big win. It doesn't matter how you get to the next round as long as you get there. Now, play like you did against WOS against Navasota and take them down! That being said, I can't help but make a point here (I know, here we go)... Aggies, you know I have given Silsbee much props for the way they played against us. However, when any WOS fan mentions that we may not have played very well that game we quickly get a, "Why is it that you played bad? Maybe it's because we played good", by you or other Silsbee fans. Now, you are doing the same thing. You make it sound like it's because you played bad rather than Huffman playing well... can't have it both ways bro... You are right, Gas. Thanks for pointing that out. Huffman played very well. They were the real cause of the Tiger's poor play. Sorry for not implying it in my earlier post.
  22. I think we did a very good job of that tonight.
  23. I would like to first of all apologize for the technical difficulties we had bringing the webcast to you guys. The wireless internet connection in the pressbox was not allowing our software to connect for some odd reason. After scrambling around, we finally had to go the old fashion route, cellphone. Anyway, I am sorry for the delay. I also would like to congradulate the Huffman Falcons on a hard fought game. You are a very scrappy and well coached team. You gave great effort tonight, you should be proud. The Tigers snuck out of Huntsville with a win, that's as simple as it gets. Silsbee did not play well at all offensively. The Tiger defense played good in the first half, but a couple of Silsbee turnovers deep in their own end of the field allowed Huffman to put up 16 points in the first half. Silsbee's defense played great in the second half, totally shutting down the Huffman offense. The Tigers offense had a few bright spots, but really struggled all night. They finally put a good drive together in the waning minutes, scoring the winning touchdown with 31 seconds left. The bright side, Silsbee gets a win after not playing well. The downside, Silsbee will have to play better next week against a tough Navasota team or their season will come to an end. Let's hope this was the Tigers' stinker for the playoffs, and get back to playing the type of football that Silsbee has played over the last 5 weeks. Again, sorry for the mess up. We were assured that next week the problems will be taken care of. Congrats Silsbee on the win. On to the next round!
