Just think, he was suppose to play for Silsbee his senior year. He and his mom moved here the summer before his senior year but the Palestine coaches begged his mom to let him stay with one of the coaches so that he could finish there at Palestine. I don't blame the coaches for doing that at all. Also it is very understandable that he would want to finish there at a school that he had attended his whole life. He certainly had the buzz going around here for a while. He came out and worked out with our guys during the summer.

Palestine has two schools, Palestine High and Palestine Westwood. To answer the question about how many disrtict titles Palestine had while Peterson played there, it is 1. They won the district championship his senior year.

I have personally seen Lumberton's facilities while doing my broadcasting job. They aren't that great compared to many other schools locally. But, they aren't the worst. I do have a request though. Please put a phone line in the pressbox. I believe you guys have the only stadium in the area without one. Even that firecracker stand that Newton has on top of their visitors stands and that "leanto" over at WOS, have a phone line.

I am with you on this one, LAZEEK. No way he sits on a list this long that is any good. I feel that Roc is trying to prolong the embarassment of this year's recruiting class. Either it's that, or he is trying to get some players academically qualified and they are needing the last summer sessions to get it done. That's not a good sign neither.

Hey WTB, it wouldn't hurt if you guys could ever get a bond passed too. I agree, Lumberton's athletic facilities are poor and pale in comparison to little 3A Silsbee's.
