That's an understatement. I walked across Zaharias Stadium field yesterday and was swarmed by those pesky things. Fans, better bring plenty of skeeter spray with you. Players, better bring some long cleated shoes with you too. That field is not in good shape at all. Terrible actually. Someone was talking about that in the Vidor thread and Soulja said it's fine. What, the skeeters or the field? Neither are IMO.

I knew you would come through. Some people just ain't patient enough. AAW, notice that the game between Spurger and Silsbee has been moved to Spurger. Yes, I noticed that. I wonder why? It is the last non-district game for both teams. Friday night game, I'll be there with my headset on. I am not sure but the silsbee coach had to move it for some reason Found out why game was moved. Silsbee girls has a district game at home that night.

This is their stadium. Even though it is behind the middle school, this has been their stadium for more than 30 years. The middle school used to be their high school. When they built the new high school a few years ago, they never built a new stadium. BTW, Kelly's stadium isn't bigger.

How could I not pick Vidor when I have them winning the district? I will not be surprised if Central wins, but I am sticking with my pick.

Other than '05, what I see is that the last 7 games could have easily gone either way. The trend is that these teams are playing very close games between the two in recent years, outside of '05.

Coaches have to be careful who they schedule with the upcoming realignment. Right now, 21-3A schools have 5 non-district games, but if the realignment moves more schools into the district like it was a few years ago, then they will only have 3. I imagine that all the coaches are setting up their first 3 games for sure and then see how the realignment goes.
