  1. This will be the game thread for all the games at state tournament except for Beaumont United and Silsbee games. Those teams will have their own individual game threads on Friday. First up in the morning: 1A 8:30am #3 Benjamin (23-1) vs. #8 Gordon (21-6)
  2. LU beats Houston Christian 78-68. Lamar finishes regular season 18-13, 12-6 in conference. They have clinched the #4 seed and a first round bye in the tourney. A Nicholls St. loss tomorrow night at Southeastern will move the Cards up to the #3 seed.
  3. I'll post my opinion on this all district selections in the morning before I head to Alamodome.
  4. Mostly for coaches and admins. But coaches have been known to sell their tickets or get them for friends.
  5. Aggies win 9-2 Have won 5 of last 6 vs. tu
  6. 7-1 Ags, top 7th
  7. I agree. A school board trustee of a public ISD should not be in favor of school vouchers.
  8. Ags up 3-1, top 5th
  9. So what are you really saying? Do you actually know the extent of his injuries?
  10. This is correct. Those are listed in alphabetical order. He is not ranked that high.

  12. There is a list of past winners, not nominees. I'll post it here later.
  13. IMO, all charter schools should be treated like the Jesuit schools who wanted to play under the UIL umbrella. They should have to play in highest classification regardless of enrollment size. FF draws from 15 other ISD's. It basically is an academy for basketball. It's the only sport it offers.
  14. For accuracy purposes, UIL is not making Faith Family move up to 5A. FF is choosing to opt up. Now some say it was by request of the UIL, but it is FF's option.
  15. Actually, we are ready to get rid of that property but my oldest son wants us to keep it for now. None of us hunt. He just wants to keep that property in the family. It was willed to my wife when her grandmother died 22 years ago.
  16. Cushing Texas. Leasing it to four people during deer season.
  17. Yes. Word I have received is not good on the United front. My line will definitely change come Friday.
  18. I voted NO on the property tax gig and I own 4 properties, one with 45 acres. I just think that "discussion" was an angle to introduce something far worse than property taxes.
  19. Adams and McCain were 44-0 in district play on the court. Officially 43-1 due to forfeit that both teams (LC-M and Silsbee) received for that game. Since the 2015 season (last 10 seasons) Silsbee has a overall district record (on the court) of 111-5 with 2 of those losses due to JV having to play. Theoretically the Tigers should be 113-3 with one loss to Lumberton in 2021 and two losses to Hardin-Jefferson in 2015 and 2020. Silsbee split with HJ those two years and ended up beating them each time in #1 seed game. 10 years of district dominance.
