  1. Love me some Coach Foster. As great as a coach he is, he is a much better man. He loves Big Sandy!
  2. Garcia out of the lineup tonight.
  3. No. Can't play till next week.
  4. Not sure. Other than Bellville, the rest of that district is chaos.
  5. Trinity 366 Normangee 185 Brookeland 98 Leverett's Chapel 68
  6. In Silsbee's case, I think it's at least to state semis. They are good enough to make Jerry World but you have to play the game. Lot's of things can happen along the way.

  8. I'm wondering if Max is done as well?
  9. If they all agreed to change it to 18, then why vote now? I understand the discrepancy, those things happen sometimes. But if it was agreed upon in the off-season, there really was no call to vote on it now. Seems a little fishy to me. 14 is just too low. Not sure I know of any district that uses that max.
  10. I agree. The norm and what I have seen from most other districts are 18 or 21.
  11. Yes. There was confusion on the cap amount (18 or 14) and if the point system was used throughout the tie breaker or only used to break three way tie and then head to head. Point max is 14 and point system is used throughout.
  12. Got it. I'll edit my post on the other thread.
  13. You may not have revealed it but obviously another admin/mod has revealed it. I have a good idea as to who did it. It's not right.
  14. It wasn't a late hit but it was unnecessary roughness and should have been flagged for a personal foul. It also was a cheap shot and no one should dispute that fact.
  15. [Hidden Content] Coverage area teams in this week's rankings: 6A 1. North Shore 8. Summer Creek 11. Atascocita 5A DII 5. Port Neches-Groves 4A DII 2. Silsbee 8. Hamshire-Fannett 3A DII 5. Newton 2A DI 1. Timpson 9. Garrison 2A DII 5. Lovelady
  16. 10-4. I wasn't 100% positive but went with what I was told. I will edit my post.
  17. How can head to head be the first tie breaker in a 3 way tie? Or, are you saying after the point system is used to break three way tie, it still is used to declare the #2 and #3 seeds?
  18. 12-2A DII Deweyville, Lovelady, Evadale and Hull-Daisetta have all clinched playoff spots. Deweyville (4-0) and Lovelady (4-0) will play for district title Friday night. Loser will be #2 seed. Evadale (2-2) and HD (2-2) will play for #3 seed Friday night. Loser is #4 seed. Projected finish: 1. Deweyville/Lovelady 2. Deweyville/Lovelady 3. Evadale/Hull-Daisetta 4. Evadale/Hull-Daisetta 15-1A DI Lot's still up in the air in this district. Only two teams go to the playoffs in 1A. Currently Leverett's Chapel sits a top at 2-0 with wins over Chester (1-1) and High Island (0-2). Chester is currently 2nd with their win over Burkeville (1-1). LC clinches top spot with a win over Burkeville Thursday night. Chester clinches 2nd spot with a win over High Island. Burkeville can get #1 seed with a win over LC and a loss by Chester. A win by Burkeville and a win by Chester will force a three way tie for the two playoff spots. My apologies but I do not know the tie breaker policy for this district other than head to head. Projected finish: 1. Leverett's Chapel (with a win over Burkeville) 2. Chester (with a win over High Island) Burkeville needs a win and a Chester loss.
  19. 11-2A DI Garrison, Timpson and Shelbyville have all clinched playoff spots. Garrison (5-0) and Timpson (5-0) will play for the district championship Friday night. Loser will be #2 seed. Shelbyville (3-2) is the #3 seed, can finish no higher or lower than that seed regardless of the outcome of their game or any other game results. Joaquin (2-4) is off this week. They will need a loss by San Augustine (1-4) this week to clinch #4 seed. A win by SA coupled by a West Sabine (1-4) loss will give SA the #4 seed based off their win over Joaquin. West Sabine needs a win over Shelbyville and a San Augustine win over Grapeland (1-4) to force a three way tie with Joaquin and SA. Current point totals for those three teams are Joaguin at +2, SA -17 and WS +15. (this district has an 18 point max) Grapeland has been eliminated because of tie breaking system. Projected finish: 1. Garrison/Timpson 2. Garrison/Timpson 3. Shelbyville 4. Joaquin (with a loss by SA) 4. San Augustine (with a win and a loss by WS) 4. West Sabine ( with a win and a SA win over Grapeland) 12-2A DI Centerville and Groveton have clinched playoff spots. Centerville (4-0) can clinch outright district title with a win over Corrigan-Camden or a loss by Groveton. They have clinched the #1 seed already based on their prior win over Groveton. Groveton (3-1) has clinched #2 seed with their wins over C-C and Leon. Corrigan (2-2) needs a win over Centerville and a loss by Leon to get the #3 seed. Leon (2-2) needs a win over Normangee or a Corrigan loss to get #3 seed. Normangee (1-3) has only one shot at getting a playoff spot. They need a win of 18 points or more against Leon and a Corrigan loss to force a three way tie for #3 and #4 seed. Projected finish: 1. Centerville 2. Groveton 3. Jewett Leon (with a win or Corrigan loss) 3. Corrigan (with a win and a Leon loss) 4. Corrigan/Leon/Normangee (see above)
  20. 9-3A DI Diboll, Woodville, Palestine Westwood and Shepherd have all clinched playoff spots. Diboll (5-0) has clinched #1 seed based off their wins over Woodville and Westwood. Woodville (4-1) and Westwood (4-1) play Thursday night and winner will be #2 seed, loser #3 seed. Shepherd (2-3) can finish no higher than #4 seed. Projected finish: 1. Diboll 2. Westwood/Woodville 3. Westwood/Woodville 4. Shepherd 10-3A DI Kirbyville, East Chambers and Orangefield have clinched playoff spots. Kirbyville (5-1) has clinched #1 seed based on their wins over EC and OF. East Chambers (4-1) and Orangefield (4-1) will play Thursday night for #2 seed. Loser is #3 seed. Buna (2-3) can clinch #4 seed with a win over Hardin or a loss by Anahuac. Anahuac (2-3) needs a win over Tarkington and a Buna loss to get #4 seed. Buna breaks any tie with Anahuac and Tarkington because of their wins over both teams. Projected finish: 1. Kirbyville 2. EC/OF 3. EC/OF 4. Buna (with a win or Anahuac loss) 4. Anahuac (with a win and a Buna loss) 12-3A DII Newton, Anderson-Shiro, New Waverly and Hemphill all have clinched playoff spots. Newton (5-0) clinches outright district championship and #1 seed with a win over New Waverly Friday night. New Waverly (4-1) needs a win and an Anderson-Shiro (4-1) loss to get #1 seed. A NW win and an A-S win will force a three way tie for 1st with Newton. Point tie breaker is currently Newton +21, A-S 0, NW -21. (max points is 21 for this district) So NW has to win by 21 or more to force a tie. Anything less and Newton is #1 seed and A-S is #2 seed. Anderson-Shiro plays Trinity Friday night. Hemphill can finish no higher than #4 seed. Projected finish with a Newton win or loss of 20 or less: 1. Newton 2. Anderson-Shiro 3. New Waverly 4. Hemphill A NW win and an Anderson-Shiro loss: 1. New Waverly 2. Newton 3. Anderson-Shiro 4. Hemphill A 21 point win or more by New Waverly over Newton will force a three way tie with Anderson-Shiro with all three teams finishing at 0 points. I have no clue how they will break that tie. Coin flip will be my guess.
  21. They are opting up to play 2A football.
