Just got offered by Kansas University. Jared has over 20 offers, many Power 5 schools. This young man's stock has risen dramatically since last season.

I thought so too. Some folks have personally messaged me asking if it was some sort of conspiracy. I have no idea but highly doubt it.

I'm hoping it works much better at state tourney. My wife watched a few games last year on the TV app and she said it worked fine.

According to the UIL website, only NFHS is doing the games this year. No TV games.

I don't understand it. Never heard of them doing this. Not sure what the reasoning would be. I'm just glad I don't have to worry about a ticket. 😉

Bottom line, Silsbee kids are just tougher minded and have that will to win that showed in their games vs. Furr and Washington last year. Both those teams showed frustration even when they were ahead of Silsbee. Silsbee kids just don't get rattled. I also think Silsbee is way better in the coaching department than Furr and Washington. Big reason why I have Silsbee winning the region.

Houston ISD is growing very tired of losing to a little podunk town of Silsbee so they have put a lot of eggs in their basket to solve that problem.

One could say that a team that had two superlatives should have made the playoffs. I think this is the first time I have ever seen a team have two superlatives and not make playoffs. Probably has been done before but I'm not aware of it. Again, got no problem with Sells being MVP but just wouldn't be my choice.

I think Clay had a great game plan. No three point shooting (only attempted 5 the whole game) and attacking the basket. The 24 turnovers were their downfall. Silsbee getting that double digit lead in 2nd half then spreading the floor and isolating Harris and Miller, putting the ball in their hands exclusively, was a great move. Silsbee did not shoot the ball very well (5/19 three, 14/24 FT) but their defensive adjustment after the 1st quarter was big. HJ scored single digits in 2nd and 3rd quarters (8,9). I had a good feeling that HJ would play Silsbee really tough in this one. It's just that Silsbee is better and they have two super stars in Harris and Miller along with some very complimentary support. HJ just doesn't have that go to guard but they play so well as a team.
