Lumberton At OF Predictions?
LuvThoseCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Rebounding is key! Beach has the potential to dominate on the boards for Orangefield, just needs to go out there and do it. She has improved since last year. There is no stopping KK from scoring for us, but we have to have the rebounding. Go Lady Bobcats! -
OF gets their 3rd district win and closes out their season on a positive note. Go Cats!

Sounds like WO-S is whining and making excuses about why they didn't win. Don't they get on here and bash other teams for making "excuses" about why they lose? Face it, Giddings was the better team and won. They certainly wouldn't have looked to Orangefield to help them win.

**POST TUESDAY NIGHT SCORES HERE**
LuvThoseCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Another bad thing about the coach's lack of class was it began to trickle down to his players. After he went off on the Orangefield girl a couple of times, the H-J players took his lead and began mouthing off too. That is pretty hard to take when you are a line judge and have to walk through all those players to get back into position after a time out and they are all being ugly. -
WO-S92, sometimes you make it really hard for others in Orange County to support the Mustangs because of your superior attitude. It would be nice if you learned the difference between confidence and arrogance. You snidely throw your fellow Orange County teams into your post and denigrate them. Yes, BC gave up 60 points to a Bobcat team that had previously been winless, but the Bobcats have hung with some very good teams. It's not like they were blown out of the water in every game they lost. WO-S has always had a lot of talent and an excellent coach that has been with them for many years. Count your blessings, that may not always be the case. I hope the Mustangs win, in spite of the smugness we will have to put up with from you.

Hardest Hitter in Area???
LuvThoseCats replied to footballfan5261's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Allie Beach from Orangefield has improved lately on her power since they have modified the way they set for her. If she continues to get better she will be something to reckon with next year. So much depends on the setter, though. -

Why don't you just explain the post instead of calling people idiots. -
Kirbyville vs. OF Predictions?

I think you mean annihilation. I hope you're wrong. Go Bobcats! (sorry about being a spelling nazi but hey, we gotta be better than you in something this week ;D) -
Go Bobcats! It's district time, put your heart in it and pull out an upset!

***Larry Tidwell Becomes Lamar Ladies HC**
LuvThoseCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I am happy Coach A is staying at Orangefield (although I am sorry for her she didn't get the Lamar job). There might not be as much talent next year at OF that we have had in recent years, but she will get them ready to play hard. As far as Lamar goes, I am hoping Tidwell gets SOME local talent because there is a lot here, but I will be at the games rooting on the Lady Cardinals regardless. It just creates a better atmosphere when there are more people in the stands, and crowds come when teams win, no getting around it. Hopefully Coach Tidwell will turn the program around soon. -
Prayers go out from Orangefield. These boys went to Orangefield when they were in Jr. High. I feel for their parents and brothers. I remember seeing those big strapping boys hugging their tiny little mother after football games and thinking how great it was they didn't mind showing their love for her in public. Not every kid will do that. What a tragedy.

Good luck Memorial Lady Titans!

Girl's basketball overall is getting pretty rough. I know one of our Orangefield girls last night had a red slap mark on her face, and another got a pretty good jab in the eye. No fouls were called on either play, and the slap came when she was shooting. That's not to say Orangefield didn't foul, because they did, but they don't lay out their opponents in the process. If the contact is made because of good hustle and inadvertantly fouling, that is one thing. The problem is, more and more seems to be deliberate just to see how much they can get away with. There is a lot of ramming the shoulder into a defender and initiating of contact by the ball handler. I also saw some good old "stiff-arming" football-style in another game. The officials need to take control right off the bat and it wouldn't get out of hand. I'm glad I'm not a ref, though. One of them at last nights game in OF literally ran off the court when the buzzer sounded.

Lady Pirates reach playoffs
LuvThoseCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I think you guys are being too hard on Mr. Pruett. He didn't have the benefit of a video replay to see what happened. All he could officially go by was what the ref called. He's there to report results, not give his own opinions. And we all think the officiating is "biased" when it doesn't go our way. I am the world's worst in that category. It could very well be true that the officials allowed Deweyville more contact. That type of unbalance happens all the time. It is also true that the officials sometimes let the games get out of hand. It's not fair to direct your anger at someone who was not part of the problem. Hey Gabe, Orange County still loves you! :-* -
Silsbee vs. WOS Predictions?
LuvThoseCats replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Silsbee has Ang Green, WO-S has Brittney Scott. Two phenomenal players that could cancel each other out. Hendreson could make the difference for WO-S if she has one of her exceptional games. Silsbee is just loaded with talent. Going to be a tight one. -
OF vs Kirbyville Predictions
LuvThoseCats replied to LuvThoseCats's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Yes it was only a 2 point game but that was a while back and Orangefield is playing much better now. It will be close and no one underestimates Kirbyville. I think the difference will be how well OF contains Kellum. One of Orangefield's strengths is their team play. If one player is covered too closely and can't score, everyone else (including the bench) is capable of stepping up and having an awesome game. Whatever the outcome, it will be a great game to watch. -

OF vs Kirbyville Predictions
LuvThoseCats replied to LuvThoseCats's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Kirbyville took sole possession of 3rd place by defeating WO-S Friday night. I believe the score was 70-64. -
Big game for both teams. Who will pull off the win? I say Orangefield in a close one. Both teams are playing very good right now. Orangefield has to contain Kellum, not an easy task!
