From what I understand, BCA lost one of they're best players to grades. -
A lot of the good players at GCM now?
Yes, Sterling took a big hit from GCM. Proud of the Senior class that is having great success at GCM. Many of them were in the Sterling program as freshmen. There are some very good players in that class along with the talented underclassmen mixed in, it is no surprise GCM is having the success they are. Happy for them all.
As of now they have the horrible field at Highlands sports complex...
Might try getting a hold of BTBA. The Colt field at Jenkins Park is in great shape and is the old Lee College field anyway. The city has made improvements in the last two months including covered seating and cement walkways. I believe Doc Planty has a deal in place for use of the fields for Knights Baseball during the Pony off season. Pony games are on Tuesdays and Fridays and only use the Colt field for 6:00 games. I believe there still is an old Pitching rubber at 60'6" in place on the Colt field. They are using the 54' rubber now.

With the sticks GCM has, pitching can have an off night and still survive. They have a wealth of talent and when that happens someone is sure to be left out. Bummer for some kids, but hey it happens.

Yes, the starting pitcher can re-enter the game as a pitcher. At high school level. -

I also heard the three leading hitters were the two freshman and a soph
Yes on all counts Freshmen Garcia @ .319 and Rios @ .350 Sophomore Paddie @ .333
Is Rios the kid they call "Cowboy"?
District stats however have three Seniors over .300 and one Junior over .300. Garcia only one of the Fresh/Sophs over .300 @ .308. Senior Zavala leads the team @ .375 BA and .583 OBP

Yes, Pledger pitched. North Shore pretty much hit anything thrown up there. RSS used 4 pitchers and recorded only 3 hits total on offense. Pledger went 2.67 innings 9 runs total / 5 earned. Other 3 RSS pitchers 1.33 innings 8 runs / 8 earned. Not the Rangers best night on the mound. Sterling's offense is struggling, they have a total of only 23 hits on offense in 4 district games (2,6,12,3).

From what I can find is 4:30 today at BCA

Trey Pledger - Baytown Sterling, Opened district play with consecutive 7 inning complete game wins over Westbrook (2-0) and LaPorte (5-0) allowing 0 runs, 3 hits, 2 walks, 14 K combined. However did take the loss against Channelview on a walk off homer Friday.

I understand completely, great job, site and forums. New to it, and enjoying all the information

Last map I looked at, Baytown is further South and East than Crosby. So I'm guessing Baytown qualifies as SETEX.
