Welcome to the board Danny! The fact is every kid nominated was deserving to win. Like Elam at first I was going to vote Thomas but in the end I couldn't pass up what Jack did in the state final. As for Tims, the only thing I will say is ozenfinest is a fool if you think he shouldn't even be a finalist. That is so dumb to say. You say in one breath look at the stats when talking about Thomas. Well then look at the stats for Tims.

Let me be clear, if DT would have won I would have had no argument with it. His numbers are so insane. My arguments tonight are really based that I don't see how you can argue against Jack either. Both guys are very deserving of the award.

What team accomplishment? HE LED THEM TO THE STATE FINAL AND HE LED THEM TO THE WIN! Thus the reason he got the MVP LOL. Are you mental? Take Jack off the Mustangs, do the Mustangs win it all? They would have still been great but I am not sure they do.

I already have given you my reasons and obviously enough people agreed. You can't argue over what a kid did that led his team to a state title. Stats included. Jack led his team to a state championship. Period. End of discussion. He had great stats AND won it all AND won the state final MVP for HIS performance in the state final. Good night sir.

OK so you mind Jack Dallas winnning. Not only did the kid win a state title, he won the offensive MVP award of the state championship game. He threw for 3,113 yards and had 44 touchdowns without playing 80% of the 4th quarters of games this year and sometimes didn't touch the field after half. Quit hating and just say congratulations. This was nothing against the other players. Those guys are all amazing. Everyone of them represented our area very well.

Or a guy with over 200 tackles won and a QB won that won a state title and had pretty darn good numbers considering he sat out almost every 4th quarter for 80% of the games he played in.

Between the two newspapers you mentioned there are 4 reporters. 4 total reporters to cover however many teams there are in our combined coverage area. We also rely on coaches to call in scores if we cannot make it to a certain game for the reason we set for going to the game we did cover.
