See but I chalk up Roys bad numbers to being hurt. He has been hurt for quite some time and just never said anything. He was out there battling because he knew he had to. I think the injury finally caught up with him. I know Bourne is young but you still have a job to do as the leadoff hitter. Maybe the real problem with him is Cecil Cooper keeping him in that spot.

Michael Bourne. He is batting about .215 as I type this as the Astros leadoff batter. Thats umm whats the word...pathetic.

Im really shocked. Rampage had to be a huge favorite. Griffin hurt him bad with that kick in the second round and never once backed down. I liked Griffin more and happy he won though. He is one of the best guys in the UFC. In the Lytle fight, that guy was bleeding more than I have seen in a long time. Good job on the ref not stopping the fight early like some do. He was still able to defend himself and put up a fight.

Fresno State Rolling...NATIONAL CHAMPS!!!

great accomplishment for Fresno St. It compares to a No. 13 seed or below winning the NCAA basketball tourney. Fresno St. is the lowest seed ever to win ANY NCAA championship. Great story and great team. -

I am just glad it is Coach Green's decision and not any of ours. Only he knows what he is mulling over in his head and what matters to him and what does not. None of us knows exactly what he is thinking about. Coach Green taking his time only means he cares about his Vidor position yet also has a strong interest in BC. That has to be a good feeling for both sides. -
I was told Jaden will be going to McNeese... Jaden is headed to McNeese and I would be surprised if Jason Clark doesnt end up somewhere.

Plus hornets fly around every sports team in our area, not just BC baseball. There are always fans in every sport ready to hang a coach. -

If he wasnt thinking long and hard about it, his decision would have already been made. -

There is no doubt Coach Green has done wonders at Vidor. If he is to not take the BC job, nothing wrong can be said about the decision. It is a win-win situation for Coach Green. -
Admin isnt really a great feeling when you watch him and realize what you are getting to witness? Im 28 yrs old. The only true legend I can say I have watched is Jordan. Tiger in my eyes is far beyond Jordan as a legend already and it will only get better. Just my opinion.

**This is an opinion column and not a news story** BC close to naming coach By Gabriel Pruett The Orange Leader It is starting to sound like Bridge City baseball will have a new coach sooner rather than later. Websites have been busy as of late and phones are ringing non-stop as to who the new head Cardinal will be. Bridge City officials postponed the announcement of a new coach Monday night in a school board meeting. Rumors now are circling around Vidor’s Kyle Green. Green has been heard to be mulling over the decision to take over the Bridge City job vacated by the reassignment of Billy Bryant. Green’s Pirates have been to the playoffs the last two seasons, this year being the second place team out of the always tough 22-4A. Leaving one post for another is always a tough decision for any coach at any level. I can understand the apprehension myself. Coaches just like some sports writers get attached to the kids they work so closely with on a daily basis. It is hard sometimes to part with those relationships that are built. Yet on the other side is another group of kids and sometimes a better opportunity to move up in your profession. If Green is the man hired over the next few days, he will inherit yet another group of stellar athletes. The Cardinals are in the midst of a great playoff run over the last four years which includes back-to-back trips to the state tournament. Bridge City is probably not far from competing for another shot at a title again over the next few years. This past year’s team was very young with just three, very productive seniors. Two of the main pieces of the Bridge City puzzle will be juniors Matt Hicks and Joe Robertson who make up the Cardinals’ left side of the infield at third base and shortstop. Hicks is also a dominating pitcher while Robertson seems to be becoming a perfect leadoff hitter. Throw in guys like Blake Hubbard, Blake Snyder and Luke Rhodes just to name a few and if Green takes the job - the talent will be waiting on him. It all boils down to the decision Green makes. The decision will be is a tough one to make either way Green decides to go.
