I won't say who I voted for to win it but I will say it really was not hard for me to vote this year. A player stood out to me on defense and another stood out on offense all season long.

From what I have seen and covered, Silsbee has the best guards I have seen in a very long time. Those guys are great

I was not going to say anything on the refs issue because HJ is such a great team and it is hard to blame losing the game on the refs BUT in a lot of ways and on a lot of plays — the refs sure did not help the Bobcats in any way. The calls in my eyes were very, very one-sided. If that makes me seem like a whiner in anyones eyes then remember I never once attended OFHS in my life. Yes of course I work closely with the Bobcats and know their coach and players a lot more than HJ's but it is not like I have any ties to OFHS. It is just a personal and even professional opinion things could have been a little different if OF got a few calls here and there. I am not saying OF would have won but things COULD have been different.

I get to cover the Bobcats tonight.....wait.....that doesnt say Lady Bobcats! :-[ Just kidding, I enjoy the Boys just as much and it will be a great game too. Just not used to not covering a girls game! Plus with the Lady Bobcats, we know we will get a call in to cover our rears! Good luck Lady Cats

To all the OF Lady Bobcat fans I have a question. Are you surprised this team is 13-0 and won the district title for the first time since 92? Dont get me wrong here, I know this is a great, special team after watching them play all season. They work so well together it is kinda scary sometimes. But at the start of the season there was a new coach and 7 seniors had graduated. HJ and Silsbee looked to be, and still are, very tough. So is it a surprise the Lady Cats are where they are?

Congrats Lady Cats. Like always its been awesome to cover the OF Lady Bobcats just like every other season. Cant wait for the playoffs and another long run. Very glad to have Coach Jost around. He has been great to work with and the girls are always some of the best to be around and talk to. Allie promised me a dunk tonight but didnt come through though

I say OF at WOS for couple reasons. Kingwood is yes a long drive...You did Ned and Dayton already...Ozen will beat Vidor and EC and Hardin are both going to the playoffs in my mind.... With OF and WOS - you get to do two teams you have not seen and WOS will be hard to beat at home. OF has trouble with the Stangs at home and the Cats really need to win..Yet it is possible you might see OF down the road cause they have big games with HJ, Silsbee and Jasper coming up..WOW..hard choice mike... Now that I write this Nederland and Dayton looks like the best....Confuse you yet?? Either Dayton or WOS in my eyes
