  1. Congrats Ang! Glad to see LU pick up a great local talent. Ang will not let them done that is for sure. I cant wait until I get to see her play for the first time this year.
  2. Thank you, thank you... Seriously to talk about HF, they really played like a team tonight. They are a complete unit and will win some games this year and make things interesting in the playoff race. OF had nice contributions from everyone. If a player didnt score much, they were rebounding or playing tough defense. Next Friday at home against HJ is going to be great.
  3. Gosh that Gabe Pruett is the best huh JK
  4. If his name is Harrington and he is from PNG - the kid can pitch!
  5. It was a good win for Orangefield and impressive showing by HF. Kendra Wright of HF is a great player. The Lady Bobcats are in a great position now especially with HJ losing but cant let up any night of district.
  6. Someone I know who has seen a ton of games this year said Bailey is the best player on the court they have seen all year. The kid is legit.
  7. Congrats Silsbee. Great win for the Lady Tigers. 21-3A is going to be crazy this year.
  8. give us a few minutes. Computer problems but nothing serious. Show will be back up very shortly
  9. Coach Sondra Ancelot of LU gets to take on UH Brittney Scott once again! That will be awesome

  15. Last night was all officiating and I hate to say that. At the half I talked to Mr. Little and I told him all I cared about was no player getting seriously hurt from both teams. Every time a shot was taken I was worried someone would get hurt going for a rebound. One official at the game missed at least 20 calls both ways and then would call a hand check after watching a player get mauled. I watch these girls every Tuesday and Friday and know both teams very well. Last night was the first time I was ever really worried something bad was going to happen because the officials were letting the game get out of control. All they needed to do was at least warn both teams and talk to each coach to maybe slow down the 'physical' play.
  16. vidor is also 0-4 bro
  17. Sounds like we have something to talk about tonight on the show doesnt it??
  18. I will say the way the voting is done is a little messed up, name recognition and school reputation does play a vital role in how writers vote. I did not have a vote this year. I am not using any player as an example but when a writer sees a nominee committed to a high profile college and sees other awards given to that player - it is easy to sway a vote just because of those two factors. Sad but true
  19. I kinda take some offense to this one :-\

  21. Sorry Diva, Luke Scottie is no more your "houston hottie"
  22. It is hard to do anything on offense when you only have the opportunity to run 11 plays. La Vega had a huge time of possession difference in the second half and kept the Mustangs off the field. No OC in the state can put up 21 points when their team only has 11 plays in an entire half. That was the difference and not the type of plays that were called. There were numerous times WOS got good yards on the screens to the WRs and they did them several times so they did not just chunk it down field all night. The bottom line is the La Vega offensive line took charge in the second half and took the WOS offense out of the game all together. Facts are facts and the opinion that a coach lost the game last night is far from being accurate.
  23. I was on the field for the game. 11 plays for 0 first downs for the mustangs in the second half with just 22 yards! La Vega was a very, very fast team with a huge offensive line. In the second half they just ran right up the middle the entire time. Yes Hooks let them score to get the ball back, very smart call but it just didnt work out. Great season for the Mustangs
  24. First thanks for the kind words from the couple who had them for what we do here at the Leader. What I really want to touch on is it does take coaches to call in the stats of the game, no matter the outcome. We rely heavily on that and for the most part have great coaches who call in. It really does not matter the score. What matters is getting the girls names in the paper for the recognition of playing hard. I really have become the girls' writer here except for softball (only cause I love baseball so much). I do a ton of volleyball and girls basketball and really enjoy it and this way we get both sides in. It all starts though with coaches calling in those scores if a reporter is not there. I just took info from a coach and I think the whole process took under 3 minutes and half of that was spent just talking some noise real fast.
