  1. Congratulations on the great day Kerry. He was always a pleasure to interview and fun to watch, even when he ran that kick back against my Indians! He was and Im sure still is very polite and having great success. Kudos
  2. There have been other teams in 3A that thought "it was there year" to beat WO-S and they are now 0-18. I have to go Stangs in this one.
  3. Silsbee at BC LCM at Ozen Jasper at OF
  4. Carona can boot! I saw him against BC and he was very impressive.
  5. It will be a great match Friday but BC won in four last time in Silsbee. I really expect five Friday because Silsbee will be ready. I think BC will be same way.
  6. Exactly my point! I am sure down the road somehow Lidge helped the Cubs, DBacks, Rockies and Phillies
  7. WO-S wins this one. Mustangs are the best around in big games and shooting down opponents who think they are ready to take them down.
  8. Holliday or Howard or Lidge
  9. Cubbies and Bartman win this one

  15. Congrats to Lumberton, the OL and PA News got the story in the paper on the last second from a stringer at the game because of the importance of the win.
  16. Central is fassssssssssttttttttttttttt every where on the field. Their DL is so quick it was amazing! The offense sputtered at times but speed kills.
  17. WOS92 I agree. It wouldnt shock me to see Lumberton win but Dayton is the obvious favorite.

  21. Lady Cards remain atop 21-3A with sweep of Lady Horns Gabriel Pruett The Orange leader BRIDGE CITY — In a key District 21-3A match, the Bridge City Lady Cardinals proved once again have the many pieces to what could be a championship puzzle. With senior Audrey Myers feeling ill during the match, the Lady Cardinals got several big contributions from players in a three-game sweep of the Hamshire-Fannett Lady Longhorns. Myers still found the energy to lead all hitters with 14 kills while fellow seniors Lauren Angelle and Kayla Fullerton picked up the slack. Lauren Angelle finished with eight kills and Fullerton pumped in six as the Lady Cardinals (12-11, 5-0) won the match 26-24, 25-17, 25-15. Jenna Angelle had a game-high 15 digs while Emily Kosh led both teams with 24 assists. Sarah Armand finished with six kills for the Lady Cardinals. The Lady Longhorns now stand 3-2 in the district standings, a full two games behind the Lady Cardinals who are alone at the top. Hamshire-Fannett was led by Kayla Dotson’s seven kills while Kindra Wright put in six. Danielle Johnson led the Lady Longhorns with 17 assists. “They actually came out and won in three,†Bridge City Coach Becca Mathews said. “We really couldn’t get into a groove and finally in the third game we had some energy.†The second game really proved the Lady Cardinals fight as the Lady Longhorns opened up a 12-5 lead. From then on it was downhill for Hamshire-Fannett and the Bridge City was in the driver’s seat. The Lady Cardinals fought back and took their first lead since it was 1-0 when Lauren Angelle came up with a big play. Lauren Angelle dove for the ball and popped it up into the air. The ball found just enough space on the Lady Longhorns’ side giving Bridge City a 16-15 lead. Hamshire-Fannett did tie the game at 16 on the next play but it was the last time the game was tied. Fullerton hit for four straight service points, which included an ace, and Bridge City took a 21-16 lead. Bridge City’s Mallory Guidry, who finished with nine digs, ended the second game with an ace capping the comeback win at 25-17. “This feels very good,†Kosh said. “We were so excited for this match and it feels even better to get the win in three.†Once the Lady Cardinals got the comeback win in Game 2 the Lady Longhorns were never really the same. Bridge City had no problems get past Hamshire-Fannett in Game 3 as Kosh went to serve with a 2-1 win. Kosh hit for five straight points including two aces. The Lady Longhorns did tie the game up at nine and the Lady Cardinals quickly responded. Guidry hit for two straight service points and Lauren Angelle’s three straight basically put the game on ice. Fullerton took serve with the Lady Cardinals up 23-15 and a Hamshire-Fannett shot went out of bounce. Fullerton then ended the match with a jump-serve ace giving Bridge City the 25-15 victory. Bridge City controlled the first game even with Hamshire-Fannett hanging around. The Lady Cardinals took a late 19-13 lead only to see the Lady Longhorns fight back and tie things up at 21. It was fitting to see Kosh set Myers up twice in a row to finish off the game as Bridge City won 26-24. “Our goal is to remain undefeated and win the district championship,†Kosh said. “That is what we are hoping. We definitely can do it. Everyone on this team is awesome.†Mathews agreed with everything her sophomore setter said. “Hamshire-Fannett is a good team,†Mathews added. “It makes it even more awesome when you beat a good team when you don’t play your best. When we were down seven in the second and still won, that says a lot.†The Lady Cardinals return to action Tuesday when they travel to face their rival Orangefield Lady Bobcats.
