Any word on how No. 10 for Memorial and No. 12 for Central are? No. 10 flipped over someone and I got word from someone near by his shoulder probably dislocated and No. 12 had his head bounce off the court. He wanted back in but the refs were smart to tell the young man to sit for the rest of the game.

Well nobody told me to look to the left and see the printed times for the games Mike. I had to learn that trick myself LOL

I like Nederland's starting 5. Garrett Ary to me is the perfect role player. That guy plays defense, distributes the ball and can make a bucket when he needs to. I love watching him play the game.

This is correct. Nederland wins by exactly 5 the Bulldogs play for third. If Nederland wins by 4 or less or loses, the tournament is over for Nederland.

Any word on the Beaumont Central girls score?

PN-G trailed 9-0 after the first and then 13-7 at the half. The Indians took the lead for the first time with 15 seconds left in the game.

In my less educated mind, this was a bigger win for Silsbee. Central will be alright but this more than validated a Silsbee team that really didn't need it to begin with. I sir am beyond impressed with this win. Central could have won by 20 tonight and I would have shrugged my shoulders at it.

It wasn't lost. I knew he wasn't playing tonight.

Central in my mind can't use any excuse when another team is missing about 4 of 5 starters if I remember right. Central was going to be awesome without the big man or not.

Central can gripe all they want but all I know (and BG and AWW can back me up when I say I am far from a basketball expert) is that this Silsbee team is beyond impressive. How many starters are they missing? How many total players are they missing? And they just beat the No. 5 Class 5A team in the state? Applause to Silsbee. That is scary good right there.

See I think it was a foul only because if you are a Titans player you don't get that close into the shot and let the ref have to make a call. Contest but no contact and there was contact.

Santa Fe's Keegan Nelms, a McNeese State commit, is as good a volleyball player as I have ever seen. She was incredible to watch.

That was the best sporting event I have been to this year, even over any football game. Kudos to Ozen. What a strong hitting team! My goodness they can hit the ball. PNG won this match on determination really. That is all I can say because they should have lost this one several times and found ways to get Ozen on its heels. 33 years straight, that is flat out the most amazing streak in Southeast Texas. I was 2 the last time they didn't make it. Unbelievable.

Lumberton wins flip and is in the playoffs. Ozen at PNG at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Loser is out and does not reach playoffs. Winner takes on Lumberton Friday for third place.
