Two things I took from the game tonight: 1. The Jasper coach is a great coach. I sat right next to him on the scorers table and he never quit coaching and ALWAYS complimented the players on a good play and hardly ever talked down to them. Good things will come for Jasper. 2. I always knew this but it really sank in tonight, even though OF may not win every game they are always prepared. There has never been a game I have seen where the Lady Cats are not ready to play or don't show up. That speaks to their hard work and believing in the system put in place. Playing hard 100% of the time goes a long way in producing success and OF is by far on the right track.

It was incredible. Definitely the best I have ever heard and I have been to a ton of games! Good luck with your future, it sounds bright

Lets all just hope the weather cooperates with the games on tuesday! only thing I can add from the outside looking in is Kristy Sanders playing in this one. A player of her caliber being on the court can make a world of difference. It will be a good one that is for sure

Even though Deweyville seemed to have their worst game of their season, LCM looked great. Daisy could not miss and the rest of the team performed in a great way. Everyone was impressed with sophomore Amber Solieau. She played some great minutes. Good win and hope it brings in a few more.

Astros would give up Berkman and Burke for him!!!

Most print media, and some TV, cant cover a whole area the size of southeast Texas. PA wont do much on OF and deweyville while we do..Beaumont cant cover the same schools but we do...we cant cover beaumont and silsbee while those two can do more than we can...its a give or take where you are located...Silsbee is 45 mins from orange...the big news was earl for our readers. i cant imagine (and wont allow myself to imagine) if we would have led the story with the silsbee player and not earl...i wouldnt show up to work the next day...we did bold the player on the list and did the same for the 4a one for a player from BH and ozen...sorry we cant do more, wish we could cover everyone from here to dallas but my brain couldnt keep up

Someone tell Granger, since I didnt get a chance to, that Im glad she is ok. That was scaring looking since it was right in front of me and it was good to see her get back in there. AND, let me say how nice it was to receive a Christmas card from the lady cats. Always my favorite thing when players say hello and things of that nature. Not too many do it when a reporter is around but they sure do. I usually wouldnt defend ourselves on a forum but we are in Orange and did run the list with the Silsbee player in our paper. It was not in the story but did make our pages.

They will probably ending up trading him for a backup batboy and three pairs of dirty socks. Then needing to shore up the leadoff spot, they will trade for Taveras (yes bringing him back) for Berkman and Adam Everett. I can see it now!

Best thing I saw for the Lady Bears was a number of girls contributing. It was a nice win for LCM and might be the start of a few more.

I wish I would have known it was tonight and not on Tuesday. I would have liked to seen this one and was looking forward to it. We never got the change in schedule! Now I didnt see it tonight and wont get to see again on Tuesday.

I have NEVER, EVER been a bagwell fan for those playoff shortcomings. I held it against him very harsly, BUT seeing him go for some reason made me realize what he did for the Astros and the city of Houston. He was a class act and did what a lot of people dont do anymore, stay around with one team for loyalty. Yes Houston paid him well but deep down he stayed because he was an Astro. This coming from a Bagwell skeptic, he did a lot of good for the team and not all the greats dont win in the playoffs.

I have two guesses but Ill just put one out first... jimmy Hart?

Saw Kirbyville and think OF should win the game going away. OF's speed and defense will be the key. Plus the depth the Lady Cats have will play a big part. Think Ill be at this one, if everything stays to plan.

Im waiting for the Rockets to trade for Iverson giving up Yao and Battier...This would only had to the city of Houstons' horrible week (in my mind it was) Seriously, would you want AI on the rockets? I like his game. He scores and plays harder just about as hard as anyone in the NBA. Just cant see who the rockets would give up and if he would fit here. Great player just wrong place. I have never heard Houston being mentioned, just curious what people thought.

It is starting to come to my mind that at the game, the KVilles book may have been wrong. For some reason I believe that was Kellum, No. 32 really, but the book had Kellum as 33. Who knows, the coach didn't have their overall record for me. I just have this sneeky suspicion about this!

I just dont like this trade. Jennings has had one year with an era under 4 and yes I know colorado is a hard place to pitch but how can you give up Willy T when your offense is as dismal as Houstons. This is a guy who gets on base just as good as anyone in the league and that is one of the best ways to put runs on the board. Just like the last few years, the astros pitching may be great but losing 3-1 is still a loss.

Kristy had a triple double in points, steals and assists. Can an OF insider tell me if she ever stops?? Is she still in her sleep? I can see her running around the house, halls at school and everywhere else.

Jason Jennings out of Colorado to replace Pettitte, Taveras Buchholz and Hirsh all gone. Boy a World Series is soon to follow!

dont forget in that garland trade as well they were going to give up Willy T... The Texans and Astros seriously need to be tutored on how to run a team. Trading Willy T would have been another terrible mistake.

Just watching Vidor from the first game of the tourney to their last there was improvement in the little things. Be glad you got to play the Lady Cats. A lot can be learned by how they play the game. Vidors coach shows a lot of emotion and care for that program and hopefully soon the Vidor vs OF can be more competitive. OF did not run up that score and would not intentionally do that. This is coming from an unbiased person here, heck im from PNG! I thought all the OC teams in the tourney showed a lot in different aspects. OF showed they seem to have things heading back in the right direction. LCM showed toughness and found ways to win and Vidor showed improvement in fundamentals in their last game against Newton Congrats to all
