  1. he couldnt. doctor told him not to, but told him he could pitch saturday if needed
  2. Alright....but who is the 2A team that they lost to?? I sure don't remeber it.
  3. Well...just a question. If you do not think that Jasper is the best 3A team ever, then who is? And I'm gonna have to say a big heck no to the BC team that some refer to because obviously, they didnt win the championship...and I have never heard of anyone dominating at the state tournament as they just did...
  4. Ryan Ellis from Jasper here...THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT!!
  5. I'm gonna have to disagree on that one and say that Jasper probably has the best coach in the state...IMO.
  6. Josey Parker is also at A&M this year. Was All-American his 2nd year at Panola leading tha nation in homeruns, but also throws it about 95 so is going to A&M to pitch.
  7. Morgan, you have no idea what your talking about. Anything can happen in baseball, and it has been proven all year throughout this district as well as the entire state. I have heard of someone throwing back to back to back no hitters somewhere this year. Now if you wanna talk about him shutting the Dogs out through 4 innings, then yes he did. But if you noticed, some of the guys were swinging the bat pretty well against him, and in baseball anything can happen.
  8. I'm thinking that HJ will take it down. But trust me, I don't think it will be just Treece and Schooling pitching. Both teams will throw everything they have with the first sign of big trouble. Both of these guys want it pretty bad, so the coaches definately won't hold anything back.
  9. Couldn't have been put better bud...
  10. Actually, Reagan hit 2 homeruns along with pitching the complete game...
  11. Not after what happened tonight...
  12. Everyone knows that Bridge City is good, just as they know that Silsbee and Jasper are. Rankings are just someones opinions. I'm sure that if someone from SETX were to make them, all three teams would be in the top 10. It's just a matter of opinion guys .
  13. Haha....ole fergalicious....that cracks me up. anyway, im gonna have to say "here comes tha boom" by nelly, or "get down with the sickness" by disturbed. Those two just get my ready to rock someone's world.
  14. Havent seen any of those from Dishon, but I did see the one that Legget hit over the centerfield windscreen in Jasper....absolute moon-shot. The wall itself in center is about 370, and the windscreen goes is about 10 feet behind the wall and about 30 feet taller then the wall, and the ball cleared it.....wow....pretty mammoth grand-slam right there.
  15. Well...the ball went through the entire tube....and yes, the left fielder threw his hands up....but the mistake he made was he did not leave his hands up long enough. The player is supposed to leave his hands up until acknowledged by the umpire. He held his hands up and then quickly put them down and pursued the ball without a "dead ball" call from the umpire, therefore it was live. I talked to the umpires after the game, and they said that if he would have left his hands up longer then they would have awarded the batter a double.
  16. Well, I have seen Silsbee play and have heard nothing but good things about Bridge City (unfortunately haven't gotten to see them in action though). I'm expecting a good pitchers dual between the two aces, but BC's bats pull it out 7-2.
  17. Wow, exciting week. But correction on the winning run for Jasper, it was Aaron Stephenson that scored, not Taylor Hart.
  18. Jasper over Vidor 9-4 Jasper over Coldspring 11-4 Jasper over Kelly 2-1 in 11 innings 3-0 weekend, 7-1 on the season
  19. He threw 133...not sure where 200 came from. haha
  20. Ryan Ellis from Jasper. Complete game vs. Kelly, 11 innings (yes, 11 innings), 4 hits, 1 walk, 12 k's, 0 ER, won 2-1.
  21. I'm thinking that it should be a close game. Silsbee hasn't proven much this year so far, and Woodville has Riley and.....well Riley as far as I can tell. I'm guessing a pitching duel....low scoring....Silsbee finds a way to win.
  22. I'm gonna have to agree with Morgan on this one. Ellis has made First Team All-District the last two years and is returning for his third season on Varsity. He was also names to the pre-season all-state team...
  23. Im going to have to agree with most of the people on here, BC, Silbee and Jasper definately. BC is going to step up and play well, although they lost some key players. Silsbee lost a few offensive weapons, but will still do well with their two aces on the mound. And Jasper lost some big sticks, but last year could hit one-nine, so still have plenty of guns left to fire returning 6 starters.
