Good on state level not just competitive in district. Buna doesnt and has never fell into that category. I just said that because i cant remember the last time we lost to HF, and we go back and forth with orangefield.  Is 3a overall tougher every game than 2a? Of course, But when weve played HF, HJ, and OF in the past  years and we have won almost all of them, whats the reason to worry? I didnt really see it as arrogance when the stats prove it. But nonetheless, i apologize. I didn't see the arrogance on here when Buna moved up to 3a maybe i missed it. I assure you I think most of us are pretty rational and realize this makes things tougher overall. But they are down this year and is why im saying THIS year its not much of a jump if any for Buna. look at the records I dont know what i said to hurt your feelings that bad. Everything i said can be backed up by facts. That's why i think its funny people say things like "we knew they wouldnt make playoffs moving up to 3a", or "welcome to 3a." and im talking football only. Basketball and baseball are a step up and will be totally different story. that is a huge step up.

I kinda get tired of hearing that. I've seen several people say that. I dont understand the whole "Welcome to 3a" comments. Lets be honest here folks, besides wos and silsbee, this district is not very good. Most of the teams in the 2a district would beat them. Newton,EC, kville, anahuac,  Buna..look at the scores over the last few years with the 3as...2a has won most of em. In my opinion buna had a better shot at making payoffs in 3a than in 2a. We finished 4th or 5th in 2a. Without blowing a 24-0 lead against BC, were one game away from making playoffs. I dont really think there is much of a "jump" if any from that dustrict to this one. Newton and EC whipped us after tgat it was everybody fight for 3rd. Wos and silsbee' have replaced them and now were in the same boat. I'm  not claiming buna to be great, I just think some people think this district is better than it really is.

I would say Carthage could be in the mix somewhere. State championships in football and baseball. powerhouse in both every year. not sure about other sports.

If the three way tie involves Bridge City, Buna and Orangefield, the current point status for each team is as follows: BC          +4 (28-24 win over Buna) Buna        -4 (24-28 loss to BC) OF          --- (OF has not played BC and Buna) Remaining schedule for each team: BC        HF, HJ, WO-S, OF Buna    HJ, WO-S, OF OF        WO-S, Buna, BC For you Buna fans, your team needs some help to get in the playoffs. I think they will be playing "catch-up" almost every game just trying to outscore their opponent. Going with my Cougs in this one.
