  1. A shocking turn of events! This sportswriter feels that the Rebels indeed have the squad to completely and utterly turn things around and get a victory in the series. However, back to my original and non-banal posts from earlier...Do the Rebels have enough deep pitching to propel them back to the zenith of the state championship like they did last year? Sure they have offensive potency, but to win at this stratum requires three or four invaluable arms. The loss of such key and worthful players from last year may indeed be the expiration of this talented group of young men. I hope not! It would indeed be a catastrophic endeavor if this group of athletes never hoist a championship banner like so many expect them too.
  2. It will be the vaunted Cougar attack that will propel the polka dotted players from the town of Buna, Texas to ultimate victory.
  3. It is of my opinion that The Lions of the town of Lovelady will be a tough and rigid test for The West Sabine Tigers. However, character is built by the unmistakable passion to win...and Pineland, Texas is a place where that true indignation to win has always been a signature of this tiny town. Therefore, I have no inkling who wins this series...I am just trying to tell it like it is.
  4. An incredible and emotional story. It amazes me how valiant and brave some human beings are. Best of wishes to the young man and may he get the last laugh in pure and utter victory.
  5. Very well stated Mr. WOS....your knowledge and understanding is once again unrivaled on this public symposium.
  6. I have to be frank..i dont think Douglass can beat Evadale. This will not be a gargantuan surprise to many people, but speaking from a non-biased and non-partisan opinion..Douglass will have to play an incredible and somewhat non-propitious series to stand a chance.
  7. Thank you BigMo for the information. I will be waiting with unbridled enthusiasm at the results of this contest because I will not be making the journey to witness this in person. Please keep the public informed about the tally of this playoff baseball game.
  8. This will be a baseball contest of two gallant and majestic programs. This sportswriter is looking forward with eager anticipation to view the outcome of what is sure to be a hard fought and even hawkish affair between two institutions. Good luck to both combatants!
  9. An incredible season by the warriors..these young men have absolutely no reason to hang their heads in dishonor. The entire area is proud of their prodigious accomplishments. Be proud young warriors....next year is waiting.
  10. An exceptionaly fine and illuminating post this reporter must say about the man known as Rebel Yeller. Your gasconade about the baseball Rebel squad is one that all true fans must read and admire. I will be following the young men with interest. However, 4 starters on a baseball group is a rather large total. With that being said, The best of chance to the group and may they exemplify the town known as Evadale, Texas with pride and plum.
  11. I agree with the Bulldog...however, these Rebels are indeed a true enigma and they know what it takes to win in the big games. I suspect that they will go far. But to win state after losing so many players? So many key players? I know it has been said that the JV program is indeed up to par and that those who have replaced them have done an admirable job..with that said..let us play, let us consiously view these very playoff games. Then, and only then with incredible curiosity, will we be able to exclaim that the Rebels are indeed the best team in the vast state of Texas.
  12. An exciting if not anxious baseball contest. Best of luck to both squads of young men who continue their quest for absolute baseball glory.
  13. I will be there with pen and paper available to record the events of this night's action.
  14. This should be one incredible warmup matchup between two teams looking to go far in these playoffs of 2011.
  15. Incredible! Absolutely and utterly incredible.
  16. It is quite obvious to this observer that you, InStitches, are indeed a noble and allegiant fanatic of the Rebels. However, after speaking about you with a specific tout, do you really have to do math on your fingers and toes as you have stated? I find it impossible if not infeasible to believe that a man who seems not the least bit obtuse would indeed have to do that. But that is simply my opinion.
  17. The impeccable Mark Williams and a rash of unprecedented and iniquitious talent at the small school named Evadale, nestled in the Pine woods of Texas is indeed a rarified occurence. It is ,however, going to be interesting to view this program after a mass exodus of seniors after this very year.
  18. It is of my expert opinion that Dr. Mark Cousins, of Buna, Texas, will indeed make a fine and noteworthy new athletic director for The University Scholastic League....... Congratulations sir!
